Re: Problem with Jersagfast

What does this even mean?
It means the seller was forced to at least respond by PP..
He said that he shipped it out. (when... Who knows).
He accepts that it is his fault (then why not send the Refund).
The only reason he responded is because of the PP Dispute
(otherwise no-one would have heard from him)

That what I think it means...

His choice of words are interesting.
It's hard to tell if he just decided to ship, or if he's referring to when he shipped it three weeks ago.

Reminds me of the old Star Trek episode "Devil In The Dark" where the creature writes "No Kill I".

Re: Problem with Jersagfast

That flashlight looks......unappealing to me, plus I don't recall seeing a single pic of it turned on, it's obviously used. I would not advertise a flashlight and not include a single pic of it turned on, plus it's been modified and no doubt pushed hard.

He may send you a FL with a bad driver/led, or one with an incorrect driver/led, maybe it crapped out before he could mail it and is looking for parts to fix it???

Not communicating is what makes all these thoughts fair game, at this point I would demand my money back.

900 lm for 60 dollars is no special deal and it runs on 1 cell....I would get my money back.

What is with the 1 do nothing screw and the messy heatsink compound? Looks like a retrofit.
----edit----
OK I read the whole add, it says its been modified, but no communication is BS, laserbee called it right.

Yes lasersbee did call it, and yes any of the bad things you suggested could in fact happen.
I'm no longer in a position to demand anything since PayPal is now handling the claim.
I took a chance with a member who's been here 2.5 years, started 16 threads and has sold here before.
But sometimes these things happen. I assure you this occurrence will not affect how I feel about this site or the friendly people here.
In the meantime, while PayPal is making their decision, people should be very wary of purchasing anything from this member.

It would be great if Jersag could respond here and make some attempt at explaining this. Looks like he's been active on the forum...

Just staying silent makes it look like a total scam.

Probably, right Jerry.

Even if not, it is still pretty pathetic, especially where you are known and burn your reputation to the ground.

Stupid is stupid and as everyone knows --you can't fix stupid.

All the buyer can do is hang in there and hope to get a PayPal refund.

It's pretty sad actually. I can't imagine being in dire enough financial straights to make such a lame attempt at scamming someone out of $60.

PayPal UPDATE 2/27/17 10:42PM:

Resolution of Your Case: #PP-00X-XXX-XXX-XXX
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favor.

We were able to recover $65.00 USD and this amount has been credited to
you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted.

If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to
recover the balance from the seller.

If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the
seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account
privileges.

---------------------------------------------------------------
My payment has been refunded either by the seller or by PayPal.
The seller lied about shipping the item on three occasions and uses at least two PayPal accounts.

Glad you got it resolved. But what a way to ruin your reputation, all over $65.00.0. Thanks for the heads up. Hope you a better light at a cheaper price. Best wishes. :)

I believe the laser community are usually more honest and above board than the average joe, because of this people in this forum often trust more than they should, we all saw what happened with Sci-Fi lasers and all of the fake tracking numbers he was giving out, or using tracking numbers for other items he shipped to another individual. The guy was part time honest, part time a rip off... I think he probably got in over his head and was scrambling to try to make things work, however dishonest in the lies.

What I really want to say is because most of us are honest, more so than the average guy, we can also be too trusting, and rip off artists may come in here seeking to take advantage of that trust. Because of this never wait too long to file a PPal claim and never send money as a gift unless you have a long term relationship with the seller. If someone asks for you to send money as a gift to avoid fees, pony up the fees on top of what they want, pay the exta money for peace of mind.

The seller did not refund you.... It was PayPal that
had frozen the amount in the seller's account as soon
as you opened the original PP Dispute.
Once you escalated the Dispute to a Claim it was in
PayPal's hands to investigate and find a solution.

If the seller could supply a valid tracking number,
PayPal would wait a reasonable time for that Tracked
package to be delivered. Remember that you have 6
months to open a PP Dispute.

Since the seller could not provide a valid tracking
number... PayPal concluded the Claim in your favour
and sent you the Seller's Frozen Amount to you.

Glad it is resolved.
