TY Wiz- when I get so close to 100% - I can cover last to pay- and you are not late.
well after 2.5 days trying.. I went to home office of my bank- girls at the branch need training.. just not on OUR time.
still pissed off- wont go inside again..
6 branches within 30 miles so NP
The experienced teller got me in & out 10 min. --Linna knows the $$ is coming..
.. hope she will expedite our box. she should- 4th GB and 1/5 the amount of the others. so

HOPE she sends me the tracking # within a day-- DO NOT EMAIL her.. please- one driver of this bus at a time..
I will PM the tracking so you can follow- do not put track #s in open forum!! btw

Thanks BTGuy Jeff for the manual pics..

More to come- these were just test pages..

IMHO no other china Laser projector 'maker' has done a better job on their manuals.
More should follow this- its like they are obliged to print safety 'warnings' but do a piss poor job that gives one the impression they don't care..

I had to look very hard to find just one typo in manuals from 5 different LKs.. hardly worth the edit.

here is a funny one..
aside from the way too common use of 'FULL COLOR' (yeah right) do you see the other error?

Len, I personally like the adjustable sound control SENSIBILITY! It's a very sensible option to have on your projector.

I will have the full LK-3D users manual pics posted later tonight.

TY a bunch Jeff- the ones you sent me were too big.. btw
the $$ was sent yesterday-- Linna had already asked about when sent-I hope that means she may be willing to ship sooner.. seeing that this is the 4th LK GB I have hosted--I think she can trust us..

she is asking if we want to do another.. same PJs or not..
once these are reviewed I am betting more will really want one of these..
its not the kind of small PJ that has few real uses-- cant wait to see all 8 running in one area..the old Bliss RG projectors were quite expensive in their day and pales compared to the LK 3D and what it does today..

Once we all get ours I hope someone will find a good & affordable case to transport them in safely.

I will PM (only) the tracking # when I get it--

bad idea to ever publish tracking info--
ONLY DHL USA has Monday off- so that may have little or no effect on delivery..
I will consult my crystal ball..

aha!!
delivery next Wed...

Len how safe are these? I have no intention of setting up any professional lasershows or anything like that, but it would be nice to be able to simply mount one in a way that a person can't look directly into it, and leave it be in auto mode.

on the 'Spencer' 'pj'--
lolled so hard milk shot outa my nose holes..
reminded me of MOM saying 'TURN that DAMN music DOWN-- to a 'sensible' level..'
not really a typo- just wrong word altogether.. apparently there are no words for edit/copy read/proof/correct etc in China--

Dino Direct and its bastard children 'stores' are the WORST..
& those at the stores (4 or 5) claim to be unaware of their relationship to DD.

like 'Full color green projector' and one of the pics shows a red laser PJ-wtf?
:crackup::whistle:

Here is the copy of the "LK-3D" projector users manual that Len Requested, sorry for the size, and photo quality, any smaller, and the resolution sucks.

I think Len wanted to post this entire manual to show the concern for safety, and the detail to which the manufacturer goes to explain the set up and use of their product.

Also, this will allow the members of the G.B. to read up on the LK-3D before they get here!

I'll post these photos in two consecutive posts since there are 24 photos in total.

we ALL thank you for doing that- hope to see many username is your rep.

TBH I am pretty much 'in the dark' on DMX- was ABOUT to dive in when AixiZ shocked me with FREE Pangolin QS-- at $599 value ATM
Chuck had good reason as the 'catch' was -- I needed to handle ALL buyer questions about use- a requirement to become a Pangolin Dealer--BUT QS is SO easy to learn- their forum is awesome- & it seems every owner really wants to be helpful..
easiest 600$ I ever 'earned'
ha ha

10fenny is a QS owner and does DMX too-- so I hope he can help with that do NOT buy the 'interface' until it can be seen that it is a good choice.
we need one that works well but NOT the most spendy-
we will see a list of good ones-/typical prices and be able to find used on-line AND at Pawnshops-

DJs hock stuff ALL the TIME>>
we will need the cords- and get long enough to NOT need to buy more.
and more-

going NOW to DHL and see if our label has been printed--

'wont be long now'
(said the guy who fell on the mower-crotch first)

'got a little behind in my work'
(said the butcher who backed into the meat grinder)

'Made a specticle of myself'
(said the lens maker after he fell into lens making machine)

done

I will stop

IE
IMHO very safe when NOT using DMX-
Jeff metered on 'pause' what we think is the hottest spot.
& at 3 M or more close to safe--
skin safe 100%
reflective diffused safe
reflection off mirror-glass- shiny stuff , ice (wet NOT dry) not safe on DMX.

The MPE is set way below actual safe exposure...and skin exposure need not be considered as safe for eye is always skin-safe

the MPE value depends upon factors like wavelength - exposure duration
-distance/divergence--
not a hard limit---going over increases chances but does not make it certain. its set at 10% of the exposure that has a 50% probability of damage

OR

a beam that is 10 times the MPE has a 50/50 chance of causing an injury. (ILDA LSO manual)
we can easily find exposure time and area size- 7mm max. size human eye blinks in .25 seconds-- both a constant.

BUT..people tempted to stare intentionally at close range horizontally so ALL the light enters the pupil could cause detectable retina changes at as little as 2 mW

TBH
when these came thru me first time- I was swamped- had a few other new ones to play with this was while SELEM was on--and actually just gave no thought to the DMX..and has I have admitted-I'M far for DMX savvy..
so many will be wanting to learn from Joe..and a good chance to meet him may be the next NWLEM in Portland--I know or know-of more really pro and friendly laser folk in that general area than anywhere else. NWLEM is high on my bucket list..

Hi Hak,

I have received the box. The device is with EU cord but does not have any remote control. But you have written that this GB is for one with RC, right?
And there is nowhere written on the device that its name is LK-3D and I do not find any black window on the front pannel which would be IR receiver.
It also has no serial number.

Have you also received this in US or the thing you were expecting?

Laser is working in automatic show, however I do not see any real blue and violet colours - just red and (shades of) green.
OK, maybe it is what is called cyan and I do not have to expect much from cheap lasers. But how did you get from it the patterns on pictures in posts 4 and 6? Or was it all DMX controlled on those pictures?

Oh, and is there any way to switch only blue laser on (and others off) to check if it is working?
