Re: JETLASERS Pop-up quicky Group Buy

Crazy Question ...but if I want a no goggles needed 462 but not in a cheapo pen host...
A true 5mw 16340 - will the beam be visible at about 70% brightness of 532 green ?

Also will it have an elliptical beam or a pretty nice 1.1 to 1.5mm ?

Jet Lasers has no low power like this ?

Is 460 or 462 where the Color starts getting Sky Blue like in Bowtie's Colored Text above ?

Re: JETLASERS Pop-up quicky Group Buy

been busy-
things are looking good...
any 'fence-sitters' need to make a choice..
I may not do another like this one..
all NEW in-stock is sold
I may be willing to part withb a few JLs-PM me with your choices

Raz got the 642/BE combo-- SOLD on WED> MO came today- Raz expecting delivery MONDAY!!!
Dats how we do IT.

Pman took the other 10X BE

Raz wants a 3.5 465- ProPle good newz he got a Sci-fi refund-WOOT!

and so does ThePhotonist

an 462 1400 EQ for Killer

will check my lists- may have missed some one..
when to list is closed it goes to JL-
they need a day or so to ready the box- longer if we hit a weekend.
then to DHL Express china- and somehow to us very quick-
once it clears US custom- it is almost here with me.
its the most expensive NOT for the uber-crazy fastness- BUT the DHL seal-"INSPECTED"
goes on the box in China andI have never gotten a box with broken seal.

I will PM each buyer the tracking so they can watch along- don't blink
I should be ready to re-ship to you in <48 hours-- tracking will be sent BUT USPS wins no awards for tracking- its like-- it left on.... then later 'it was delivered' you may want to speak to your delivery person and let them know it is an important package and you do not want it left out in the open-leave them a note in yr mailbox- call or do both.
timeline on paying-- I am not going to be pushy-I will work with you- I hope you are ready within a week-10 days-- you can opt-out and I will put it up for adoption.

I do NOT ship outside CONUS..
no PO boxes
somebody should be home or arrange for box to be held and picked up in person.
all of these are class 4 lasers- extreme care is a must- eye danger even from reflections.
it is a felony to lase aircraft intentionally as well as a $10,000 FBI reward. for info.
they are not scuba diver lasers
do not drop

do not lase with cap over lens. NOT covered by warranty for this.
bbl

hak

:thanks::thanks::thanks:

PM ASAP if you want to order from jetlasers.org
free shipping- free stateside inspection and power meter.
Free support from USA.
CONUS only (except for Sir Alaskan)

no other discount codes- specials etc can be combined.

Sounds good! Can't wait to see how it turns out, I just wanted to remind you that I wanted the 10X BE with my laser, You did not mention it above so I just wanted to make sure that was part of the order. Thank you so much for putting together this group buy!

you are very welcome--
I watched and read a lot about GBing before trying to host one.
They are not for everyone- both the hosting and joining.

these require faith on both ends --actually 3 'ends'
and anyone who fails to fully understands the risks involved can get an very unhappy ending.

while kinda impossible to please 100% I am ok with the very few that were not thrilled.
I feel I did my best.
One got instant refund the other would not take the refund -go figure.

I have another running as well as a feeler for another mini 3D RGB projector with remote control of the patterns and the colors and combos-- all your 'people' will like it.. and it is 'legal' o buy -sell or operate. class 2.

last time these were $248
I hope we can get a bit better or at LEAST not higher.:tsk:

Re: JETLASERS Pop-up quicky Group Buy

Can or WILL Jetlasers do a 462nm at a true Metered 5mw ?

At a low divergence with glass lens and APC -should have a nice visible beam in darkness or humid night air BUT limited off Axis visibility- a good thing.
I have read 5 mw with no IR does not require goggles if used cautiously.

I would expect a constant duty cycle at this low power right ?

Question is...will this Diode Lase at 5 mw.

Berlin Lasers and a few others are selling 5mw 460nm - but in pen style which I do not want.

Ability to focus/ de focus might be cool also.

462nm 5mw as above possible ?

And it's not 473nm or 488nm or some rare thing so should be reasonable cost...right ?

Re: JETLASERS Pop-up quicky Group Buy

jetlasers.org
prices are there- no 5 mW anything tho--

I am not the only one who finds these 'stipulations' on 4.99 mW OR LESS> a bit tedious and somewhat pointless.:shhh:
its it a 'legal' thing-- perhaps hoping that nobody can take it away from me coz its LEGAL and just 5 Mw.(not my spelling)
I mean, if its mostly about not wanting or being able to buy even cheap goggles (for now)-- you would NOT be required to wear them at ALL times..
for some I think its a parental deal
and that has its merits- brighter IS more danger-- and totally off is totally safe. do this-
check out the threads of Brucemir

he takes those pics all with pointer (mostly)type lasers..

do you think he can do that set -up with out eye ware??
and its a PITA but compared with retina burns- I deal with them.
you do have to 'peak' around but
less is better.

if you go with the 515 5mW eye ware would not be needed.

but.. I don't remember JL every selling anything under 100 mW.
get a kit and build one..

Well I am not interested in building a Laser- if I am willing to spend a few hundred for one why learn a new trade just to have a Laser that is inferior to one which an expert will build?

I am the Logic Captain - if I shine a Laser outside even at a cloud with no plane anywhere on the Horizon - the limited off axis visibility is an asset .Hence 5 mw is
King.

I don't want it bright off axis -save money on goggles is not the idea.

These 5 mw threads are good training for you.

IF the Authorities get called for someone playing with a Laser it won't matter WHAT the power is even if you are pointing at a cloud I doubt if the Police are going to meter the thing-

It must not be seen off axis.

Get it ?

Plus I really don't want to deal with that much Candela- goggles or not.

There are people who like to listen to Music at the threshhold of pain or play music at that threshhold or mix down in the Studio at that threshhold- I like it quieter...

Plus I am surprised you guys are not more interested in all these new Diodes at whatever power you want...but if they are
$500 to $2000 each I can understand..

Most of the newer Threads are about big power but not too many newer Colors like Sky Blues and Cyans and Oranges etc.

Is it cost or a Power thing ?

I played around with Fireworks as a kid- done with that - putting on a Laser Show in a Club for Money might be fun- but NOT if everyone has to wear fucking goggles lol.

If it's too tedious don't read the 5 milliwatt threads...remember what Lincoln said
'Real men use high power lasers only.'
Aren't you being a little bit paranoid? You seem absolutely terrified that somebody will see your laser from the side and call the cops on you. I doubt the cops would even take such a call seriously unless you were pointing at airplanes/cars etc.

As for your needs, Either of these pointers would work great for you. They have a 5mw option, are quality made and can go up to 20-30mw if you engage the secondary mode.

Re: JETLASERS Pop-up quicky Group Buy

Razako is right, as long as you aren't using it maliciously nobody is going to call the police just because they see a laser in the sky, and if the did I doubt the police would take it seriously unless you were supposedly pointing at planes, which if you weren't, could be easily confirmed with air traffic control, who maintains a record of laser incidents.
