You know. I recently started selling on eBay to get rid of some things I never use, and I haven't once gotten any feedback back. Like WTF? I leave the buyers feedback, but it's very disrespectful to not leave anything when you have a seller who ships you things out fast, and is friendly.

Kinda pisses me off. I just shipped off something else today. If you check my profile, it says "0" feedback. Although I have 2 satisfied people already :/

I buy 99% of the time but have sold a few things. Even as a Buyer I've gotten feedback after I left feedback months later. I make it a point to leave feedback. I also worked retail (automotive repair) during college so clientele was just a segment of society. I learned customers can really be a (pick favorite disparaging term). Maybe our culture 'customer is always right' and all that. But what happened to manners?

My brother worked in a large grocery chain during college where he got people from all walks of life. All people gotta eat. Boy did he get some nasty ones and lots of weirdos.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got my refund of $109.99!!!!!! It's been 11 days since dispute, no response from Eitan, paypal refunded in full. I'm a bit shocked to be honest. I didn't think it would actually happen. I sent the money as "to friend or family" as a kind gesture to Eitan but I guess it didn't affect anything. Thanks for all the support in here guys. I basically had the same situation as everyone else, 100+ emails, 2.5 months of fake promises and multiple fake tracking numbers. I hope everyone gets their refunds and if anyone has a recommendation on an affordable 445nm 1-2watt laser I'm all ears. I'll probably order something today since I got my money back.

P.s. I got a laser from SurivalLasers a few years ago but it seems he can't sell in the USA anymore? Does anyone know when this changed?

Jetlasers, Laserbtb/skylasers. O-like on more of a budget.

Survival lasers still does sell everything you need to build a laser (iirc). Stopped selling completed lasers in 2012 I think, and very easily assembled ones in maybe 2013 or so.

Yeah, those are also all good. Heck, I'd even recommend these
US Powerful Thor Blue Laser Pointer Adjustable Lazer Pen Burn Paper Military 1mW | eBay

I have one and it's nothing to scoff at. US seller, and they replaced the crappy acrylic lens with a glass lens. Mine will straight up light black newspaper on fire.

For $75 and US based seller, that's really not bad at all. When I visited asia year and half ago or so, lowest price on similar lasers on the street there was ~$60 USD. They tend to suck when it comes to heatsinking (often VERY liberally slathered with cheap thermal paste inside which does more harm than good) but so long as the duty cycle is kept low, to under a minute, it's a good first 445nm.

Nor is there a big difference visually between even ~750mW and even 5W. I mean yes of course it's VERY obvious side by side, but both will produce a highly visible beam at night. One will just leave fewer spots where you need to touch up burn marks after.

Wow, wish I had seen this one 3 months ago. All I really care about is a solid blue beam at night, to show off my friends how cool it looks going up in the air at a cloud or across the lake in the mist. Can that $75 laser do this? I'd order right now if so!

EDIT: Probably should have refreshed the page before post this! But it sounds like this laser won't be much different in beam brightness than my old Survival Laser 1.4watt (which is not in my possession anymore).

Absolutely. Just keep the duty cycle under 1 min and you should be fine with it. It even comes with 5 star caps for cool effects at night.

I don't think you can submit a question during that part of the dispute (this is the escalation part?). You could try and call as others suggested - I don't see any downside to that. Just make sure you only answer what is asked and if they ask what exactly you bought, well that's your call but you see what I mean. But if it were me I'd cut my losses, keep it and have someone here fix it. If you send it back, even at his expense, IMO the risk of losing more is higher than by keeping it. Even if he fixed/replaced it, he now has more exposure so it might not even make it back to you once it enters the country.

EDIT: RCB makes a really good point about not closing the dispute. Let every policy, procedure, practice that can work for you have time to do just that. I would let it run its course.

I did talk to them, and as a plus they said the $180 has already been pulled aside so I'm guaranteed to get it.

On the downside, I've checked USPS, Fedex, and UPS. All will cost me at least $80 ($110 for Fedex and $100 for UPS) to ship a 2lb package to Israel with tracking like PayPal requires. So I'd only be getting back half, and have nothing to show for it.

I guess I'll just let the claim expire tomorrow since that's my deadline to ship it back and take up one of the guys here to see if they can fix my focusing issue and the cap that doesn't stay on.

I wouldn't take it that far Infin. It's not like anyone is going to have to guess which is which between a 750mW and 5W in seperate pictures. A 5W is going to light up a room pretty well.

Yes, side by side its blatant, but as a first laser 750mw is still quite adequate, and does produce a good beam. Most likely it would end up being 1-1.5w too, and as we don't perceive brightness linearly... It may not even appear twice as bright... At 3-5 times the price.

Personally I'm waiting for the 10W barrier to drop before upgrading.

Even non-linearly or not there is a big difference between a 2.5 W 445 and 5.4 W 465 beam. The 2.5 W is very visible at night of course, but the 5.4 W beam was almost too bright for me to look at - the beam was actually hurting my eyes. I understand what you are trying to say but comparing a 5 W to a 750 mW is little too much.
