This laser claims to be a 5mw true blue laser:drool:. It is only $20, and this makes me think it is a blu-ray. However, blue rays generally go for much less, and use a different pen host. this makes me unsure. The seller looks legit, and even sell 980nm ir pens. This makes me wonder even more:thinking: I am dying to know if this really is a blue pointer. Here is the link: 5mW 445nm 450nm Blue Ray Portable Laser Lazer Pointer Point Pen | eBay

405 to 488 nm are considered Blue lasers. 405 nm is the closest to the purple spectrum with 445-450 being closer to blue. 473 and 488 nm are closer to sky or lightish blue. So it really comes down to what shade of blue you want.

Hows the build? I am amazed that low power true blue pointers(something that didn't exist a few years ago) are now so cheap. Laser btb charges $60 for the same thing.

Pretty decent. Nothing amazing, but not bad either.

I bought the same thing for $11. Nice $9 profit he's making on eBay with big orders.

On there site, there are 3 "5" mw blue lasers. One is the $17 one, where the others cost near 50 and claim to be using osram diodes. I read a review on this site of one of the pricier ones claiming he meterd it at 180mw. Are the more expensive versions really so much more powerful, despite them both being stated as 5mw on their site.
