How much power would the Osram PL450B output at 150ma, and yes I checked the search bar. Also at 150ma would the laser diode burn or hurt my skin.

Take a look at this.

It shows the datasheets of that specific diode. I'm sure you can find more than enough info in it to answer your question.

You do know that any diode capable of over 5mw requires the use of safety glasses, regardless of how hard you drive it.

Blue lasers may seem weak at low power, but they can still ruin your eyesight.

The tiny light sensing parts of your retina do not bleach out to protect themselves against blue light as they do against white light, so do not mistakenly think that a weak blue laser is safe just because it doesn't hurt your skin, your eye has its own lens that focuses incoming light to a very tiny spot called the fovea that has all the densely packed nerves that give you all your detailed vision, one little mistake can ruin your life.

Sorry to preach, but this is so important and your question concerned me.

p.s. I just ordered a pair of these:
http://www.survivallaserusa.com/Eag...rd_Laser_Safety_Goggles/p1667092_7862033.aspx

They give 50% light transmission and OD4+ they cost a little more than doubling up cheaper amber glasses but should give a better view and good protection.
Good tools are worth the price. ;)

I have read that blue light is bad for your skin, and I have also read that it is used to treat acne and kill bacteria, so you will need to research and use at your own risk.
I am curious though, why is this your concern? Are you planning to use it on your skin? If it's personal then you don't need to answer, just read all you can, you have to be your own advocate as good doctors are getting hard to find, Obamacare has caused many to retire early.

Thanks for your concern. Answering safety guidelines is critical, I knew this though. But will a 120mw laser hurt my skin?

Can't find the info.

Just did the math. If I run it at 150ma it will be 120mws'. Also would 120mws' burn my skin or hurt it at all. I am just curious

Yes if focused and held still on one spot and up close then 120mW will burn your skin, it won't do it instantly, for example you can pass your hand through it safely, but don't focus on one spot. Be aware that a much more powerful blue laser can penetrate your skin and burn you inside before burning on the outside.

Don't impatiently bump your thread it's bad etiquette and bad form! 3 bumps in an hour? Really man, enough. Get with the program or begone. You keep necro posting just to piss people off, have made a dozen threads on very easily searchable topics now this ridiculous thread. In most of your threads you don't even type enough words to even properly ask your question.

You know after looking at your past post's and all your neg Rep I'm pretty sure you're a TROLL and your time here will be short lived.
Enjoy some more neg rep from yours truly.

Take a look at the sheer amount of lazy threads this guy has made. If he isn't a troll he sure as hell is the laziest newbie I have seen yet.

It would be good to get this "member" in the red so people can have a heads up and not waste their time.

Totally agree with you nw, this guy is another one of those pathetic trolls. I doubt he even looked at the datasheet at all. Sadly I can't neg-rep him again yet, but I will as soon as I get the chance. Kinda done with all these trolls lately.

I am not even related to a troll. I am very nice and considerate of people on this forums. But what do you guys do. Treat my like crap. Just stop. Please just stop. I needed this question answered before I went to bed because if not my mind would race.
