Man, I would imagine Titanium being a betch to machine on the lathe. Unless you mean assembling a kit made of Tit-an-yum. Note that it's got some pretty low spec thermal properties, so you can't really jam a 2W blue in there. :)

tie it around an icepack or stuff some aluminum inside and titanium outside. That's what I got to do in my next build. Or even half titanium half copper or aluminum or whatever

Titanium would be a betch to machine ,i certainly dont have the kind of lathe to do the job ,you need a good lathe with a silicon carbide cutting tip.Theres a place near me which is like massive workshop with allsorts in and you pay membership to use the equipment so ill have to go in and enquire !! it would be so worth it though polished titanium has something very nice about it ,shame about its thermodynamic properties , whats the heat like on a 150-300mw 532nm reckon its do-able? going to be saving that wavelength for a project as its got be one of my favourite color laser!!!

Hahaha icepack !!!only operational in snow of in the confines of the icebox in your freezer! Its a shame about its thermodynamic properties ,but it would be interesting to try and solve it within the design of the host ,using other materials would ruin the continuity of the asthetics.if run time and size wasnt a massive issue you could use solid state cooling ,but i have no idea of the costs these days just aware of it.

Welcome! I just realized i never made one of these

HEYhey joey,do it and post it on here !!!!
