Hello, my name is Andrew. I am fairly new to lasers, and I am here to learn more about this hobby, and the people in it. I have a few generic red pointers, a couple red gun sights, and have recently purchased a 532nm JD-850 laser that is soon to arrive via Eekbay. Lasers have never been my hobby, just an interest of mine. That seems to be changing looking at some of your high quality builds here. Please do not hold my subpar lasers against me, as I have only purchased mass produced lasers thus far. I have an Uncle that referred me to this site, that unknowing to me builds lasers, and is a member here. The only experience I have with lasers is dissecting the ones I've killed, and it is defiantly a learning experience. That is all I can think of at the moment. If you can think of anything I've left out please let me know. Thank you for reading my intro.

Welcome to the family. Keep an eye on your cash. My wife said I have to choose between her or my lasers, so I packed her thing's and popped her tires with my 10000000000 killowatgigajuel death ray lolololololololol just kidding. I would do it though

Keep an eye on your cash.

No truer words have ever been said in this hobby! It's a mad cycle of spending, wanting more, spend, more, spend, more etc... In the 2 years I've been here I've easily spent over $1K on lasers, so be careful :)

I feel your pain as I'm sure we all do, but with pain comes joy. I'd say between test equipment bench supply's and other tools at least a few thousand. luckily my brother and father are into flashlights and lasers so I can use lots of they're stuff. I just like having my own, it's not the same when you have to borrow something.

He is known here by Nute, And thank you for the reputation Sir.

I apologize for my late reply, and want to thank you all for your kind words, and making me feel so welcomed!

I will also be doing my review on the laser I mentioned in my initial post soon, as it arrived today (well yesterday, Thursday... Hard being nocturnal eh?). Again, Thank you all!

It's no problem at all brother! I appreciate it more than you can imagine. You have been more than helpful, and I will soon return the favor. Thanks again.

I'm glad I could help out. I'd rather help someone than profit from something that didn't cost me anything but time in some testing.. :)
