Tonight I used my lasers for burning for the first time. The blue is a Sci-fi 450nm that peaks @ 2.2W the 532 is my 400mW from O,like. Tonight was a lot of fun and I find the videos quite beautiful especially the reflection on the wall. I used a wet towel as a beam stop and of coarse wore some safety glasses while setting it up. Those 4K videos looked incredible on our HD TV.
Anyways, I just thought some people might like seeing them.

532 videos say they are set to private. The 450 videos look nice though. What exactly are you burning through? Doesn't quite look like cd cases. Hard to tell though.

Burning things can indeed be very pretty. You should try pointing your most powerful laser (I guess that will be the blue) at a CD that you don't mind destroying. Point it at the reflective surface so the laser bounces back into the room, after a short while it will start to melt the CD and form beautiful patterns all over the room, kind of like light reflecting off water. I did have an example on youtube but I kinda went a bit medieval on my youtube account and deleted the majority of my videos, that one must have got the chop too. I do have this, though:

Great!...The awesome power of light...The way solid State diode's are progressing it won't be too long before they can do the same thing to 1/2 inch steel plate! ...Great shots. :)

Thx. I noticed how grainy they were the other day. The originals are so nice I'd like to try to repost them at 1080. A few of them my friend emails to me from his camera so they must have got compressed but I shot a couple with mine that should be HD.

Prescription bottles look pretty cool too lol! The orange semi-translucent type.

Maybe I'll take some pics and post this weekend but I fired my 2.5w+ 455nm through an empty prescription bottle aimed at a wall. The semi-translucent plastic melts very, very slowly and as it warps and distorts it produces a very cool visual effect. It can project quite large too if you let it melt enough.
