Ooooh! So button top just means the battery has that little "nipple" on top like this, right?

4000mAh is not much more than 3400mAh considering the size difference between 26650 and 18650. if you have other lasers that use 18650s, maybe get those so more of your batteries are compatible with more of your units.

I get 26650s from http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1871 or maybe 1 Piece of XSL 26650 3.7V 5000mAh Li-on Battery_Battery_Battery&Charger_Electronics Wholesale - Powered by ECShop
I get 18650s from 18650 Batteries & Chargers

although CNquaitygoods also has the exact same 18650s, they just take longer to arrive and cost about the same so if they're all you need might as well get them from Larry. Make sure if you get 26650 from that site that they really are 26650. I just got some that said they were, and had 5000mAh capacity. but if I also looked at the picture I'd have seen they were actually 26700

not sure if the second cnqualitygoods link above is really 5000mAh and 26650, but these are for sure the ones not to get, too long:

http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=2176

see how the description says 26650, but on the battery pic the battery itself says 26700

Congratulations on your purchase! I just went through a very similar experience. I'm a new member and I just made a JetLasers order (on the 20th). :D
I decided to go with the 1.7W 462nm PL-E pro instead of the 2W 445nm PL-E pro. I'm happy to hear Gray told you (on the 20th) that your order will be shipping out in a few days (from then) because I haven't been able to get a hold of him in a few days and I didn't know the status of mine! lol
I, also, would be very happy to see some pictures or a video of your lasers when you get them and possibly your beam expander? I ALMOST bought it too, but seconed guessed myself right out of it!

Update: I just got an email saying my JetLaser shipped! Yay! That should mean yours did as well. You should check your email.

Thanks for the info! I hate how careful we have to be with buying things like this. Can't people just be honest? lol...

I think I might just stick with the 18650 batteries, as I have so many other things that use them.

Hey there! Yes, I got one email last night and another a few hours later. I checked the tracking number on the 2nd email to see if it gave me an estimated delivery date, but the number is coming back invalid. Maybe it isn't in the DHL system yet. Did you check your tracking number, and if so, did it work?

Did you have billing issues like I am having? I am really hoping he will fix this. He is very slow at responding to emails. Every time I have emailed him it has taken a few days for a response.

I will definitely be throwing up some pictures of them when they arrive. I still need to order some safety goggles. One of the reasons I was hoping Gray was faster at responding to emails is because I wanted him to add a set to my order and ship them all together. I haven't heard from him yet so I have to wait for a response before I order them on my own from another company.

Did you get the silver or black? I ordered both in black so they would be less visible. I was unsure about the beam expander, but since it would work on both I decided to go for it. I didn't want to sit there wondering what it would be like if I had it lol.

I just got home off of the slope and checked the tracking number. Clicking the number just takes me to the dhl homepage. I had to go back, copy it, go forward and paste it. Unfortunately, it won't let me click on the button on my phone. Every time I try, the box teleports to the bottom of the page and back. Urgh! I'll fire up my computer and give an update.
(I ordered the silver one because I want it to stand out more. I think it looks extra sharp! That's why I sprung for a JetLaser to begin with. I wanted a good laser, but I wanted it to look badass as well.) ;)

UPDATE:
I just got the tracking number to load up and it's giving me an error not found message. Gray did just send me the tracking number yesterday. So, maybe it's just not in the system yet? I'm hoping with the holiday shipping backup, that's all it is.

12-30-14 07:00hrs update:
The tracking number is working now. It says it's in Dubai.

Thanks folks! I don't have goggles yet. I didn't want to order them from JL. I figured I would be better off getting them somewhere else because I would have more choices. In fact, I was going to start a new thread to discuss the that and other must-have/fun accessories to have.

several such threads already exist-

In general.. most vets here see buying protection for your eyes SECOND as a sign you are not being careful or don't take our safety tips seriously.

Most injuries happen to newcomers...

during
1) lighting 'stuff' afire and taking pics (from inside your car is NOT SMART)
2) measuring beams/finding divergence/focusing
3) placing beam on center of LPM sensor
NONE of the above should even be ATTEMPTED w/o proper eyeware for all wavelengths you are working with and do not forget that ALL cheap green lasers output IR as well as 532nm.

see the therads on this before you post or make new ones..

Yes and when placing the beam on the center of that LPM sensor for the first time with a 1.5W laser or whatever it happens to be while your wearing your glasses, and you realize you can't see where that tiny square ends and the black heat sink behind it starts don't try to have a look over the top of your glasses to see it better from 2 ft or less! Don't do that!

well for starters you CANNOT see 'just the spot' w/o eyeware the 'glare' around the actual spot can make it seem many times bigger--

read up on blue/green laser danger= its a little like watching A WELDER TOO LONG
IF at ANY time you see 'afterimages' for more than a few seconds --you have seen too much -- when the very first Kasios were found to contain blue laser diodes one guy was trying to do divergence or LPMing w/o knowing the output just yet... and spent too much time with too little eye protection ONLY looking at the dot--and his eyes lost the ability to see green for several days-- I bet he was worried about how long that would last..
A somewhat crude way to know if the lasering you are getting at a CLUB is too much..
count how many seconds til the after-images fade- 10 seconds is TOO much IMO.

overall lasershows done by pros have an excellent safety record for USA. nearly perfect..

Believe me, I take safety seriously. I used to be a safety inspector for Boeing. I had "Clearance" and was in charge of overlooking special military projects. I am one of the most careful people you will ever run into and I don't plan on even putting the batteries in the lasers until I get protective eyewear. I'm no fool, and I definitely do not want to lose my eyesight. Thanks for the tips though. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who don't take safety and protection seriously, and unfortunately they will have to deal with the consequences.

Who delivered it, UPS, FedEx or USPS? Also, did you have to sign for it?

DHL delivered it and a signature was required.

It actually turned out to be a double surprise today. A few hours later I checked my mailbox and my protective goggles and batteries were in there. Yay! It's time to get to work opening the new toys. I am going to either take pictures or video of the unboxing and will share it here.
