Any one here own Spyder III and JetLaser PL-E Pro ?

Hi guys, im new here, please dont bash me.....

I have been drawn to lasers, and have been reading on this forum for a couple of months now. Everyone here sound like GREAT people! Not only great but really knowledgable on the subject.

To start off, i am purchasing a 500mw Krypton, and am thinking of purchasing the JetLaser PL-E Pro 4W 445nm Focusable..

I was wondering, if there would be any way that the WL EXPANDER LENS KIT could be used with the JetLaser PL-E Pro? is the tip of the Jetlaser screwable?

Im sorry if its a dumb question....

The krypton? The wicked lasers krypton 532nm that's $700?

Have you already bought the laser? I would do some searching on the forum to learn about wicked lasers before you buy from them. They look great but are extremely over priced for what you are getting. I've read they are known for scamming quite a few people as well with less mW then you buy.

I'd recommend buying from someone on the forum for better quality at great prices.

And I see you like the Wicked Lasers Krypton. I know the design sure looks cool but if you didn't buy it yet, I would recommend the Spartan 600mW green laser from Dragon Lasers for $400. Its much cheaper with more power and dragon lasers is a trusted site and recommended by laser hobbyists all over the forum. I like the look of Wicked Lasers too but they overcharge on a lot of their products. And on the expander kit, I'm not exactly sure if it will fit or not. I've never owned those lasers. It's up to you man! And I hope you enjoy your time on the forum and get all the information you need!

OR build or have a friend build you a 800--mW green diode handheld using the new DTR 9mm (iirc) green diode for $395 (diode only)

this newcomer may find few willing to ship to him.. a member cannot afford to replace one- his best bet will be JL - and be OKay to pay for the best carrier express and insured- for the max.

The only reason why i am willing to purchase the OVERPRICED WL Krypton, is because of the Extra things the other ones dont have. Since this is my first one, i would like all the little gadgets one can add like: Lines, X, Dots, etc... Also the Operating Modes (Strobe, Constant Wave, SOS, Beacon, Tactical) wich is kind of cool...

Theses other ones dont have this right?

I know most have a bad impression of WL, i sent them an email, told them to look for the Highest rated KRYPTON 500mw+ they have, for the same price obviously and pick it up and send it to me... They stated that they would do that, put a note on my order, so that warehouse would pick up one with 700-800mw range...

Lets see what happens... :wave:

Alldough, LOL, here locally i do not have the slightest clue who could rate the mW for me... alldough WL sends a personalised graph or something... hmmm

They should be willing to help.

some sell a model called 'Rifle' which comes in a nice case- has the right glasses for blue and several ttips with the same gratings- 1W is PLENTY and these are $200 from one seller and shipped from TEXAS as far as the 'specail treatment' they seem to offer.... anyone writing gets the same promise --

IF you want a rifle I can arrange PPal invoice and use MY LPM to make and send along a graph-- shipping will not be cheap as this needs max insurance and express to increase chances for safe & unopened delivery-- no batts will be shipped with-- Not sure what it needs- IIRC it takes two 16340s so you get >7 vdc as most blues need the same.

ONLY with a meter can you 'see' any differene between 500 and 700-

to 'double' brightness of a 500mW ( by eye) it takes 2000mW


BUT ATM it looks like you have already paid WL

just this review by another seller- the host- color and ectras except batteries are what I can get for you- wont know the actual price or power until i go and see(soon) at the end you see the improvement the G lens makes- I will do my best to have yours comes with the same lens--

the attachment gratings are far better that what we see with coin batt red cat toys- they have two that counter rotate- -- Not sure what all powers these come in-

Let's do a break down eh?
Do you know where Wicked Lasers's lasers are made?
They are made in China just like everyone else , as someone who LIVES in China I can tell you the workmanship difference caN REAALLY wildly vary.
A dollar paid is not a dollar received.

Now I don't personally own a WickedLaser so it would be unfair for me to judge, but from the over 3 years of buyer experience documented on LPF , WickedLaser's reputation is a bit... charred to say the least.

There are many other lasers manufacturered and sold by more reputable companies.
Such as JetLaser , which is jointly operated by one of our forum members .
CNI , Dragon Laser - which uses the same manufacturing plant , Dragon laser allegedly gets the best batch , you be the judge.
LaserGlow , TOP of the line VERY expensive stuff , it's the Rolls Royce of portable lasers.

If you're into just the color but not the DPSS process , you can always opt for custom built lasers built by the many lasersmiths on the forum .
the 520nm diodes are quite a bit more sturdy than the 532DPSS modules so there are choices here.

In the Q&A, the confirms that the output is 2000mw..

1. Is this really 2000mw (2 watts) or 200mw? (I.e., a misprint.) 2. Do I need blocking glasses when I use this? 3. Is extra cooling necessary? THANKS!
