Well, i was trying to solder my - lead to a mohgasm round linear driver and to my dismay the fucking metal contact plate came off for the - on the driver... Is there any way I can salvage this? maybe solder the - somewhere else on the driver? i'm pissed i just wasted 10 dollars and i'm hoping i can fix it

The metal is the heatsink for the driver. It sits on top on the main ic.
Use a thermal epoxy glue to put it back on.

not sure what you mean, if I were to glue it back on there's only a tiny spec of metal in the area now, I doubt it would even make contact...I guess what I am asking, is where is the - next attached to in the circuit

Edit: Looking closer, is there even components between the - input and - output? It seems that the - battery contact is attached to the - diode out... I could be wrong, anyone?

That is a solder pad that came off. Lucky for you that pad and the back of the main ic has the same ground. That is just right of the red oval. You can solder the lead there.

LoL thats no heatsink, thats the whole Diode - contact pad, how did you destroy that?

You can solder it somewhere else im sure, i could figure it out if i could see where the traces went, someone else will chime in with the details.

Okay forget what I just said. These points in the red circles have a common ground.
Use any of them for the diode negative.
