Pill/Contact board question...

First of all, apologies if this has already been covered in another thread.

I've made a few sinks in preparation for the arrival of a couple of modules.
I'm a bit unsure about the Pill/battery contact board part of it though and thought I'd better ask some experienced minds before I make a mess of things.

The pills I've used are out of various flashlights, but I haven't got any that are bare, so I tested one of them and it turned out that the output voltage was the same as was going in.

So here are my questions......

1. Should I check all of them before using? As I assume they would function differently.

2. Am I just being over cautious as the drivers on the modules will regulate power?

3. I think some of them control modes as in high/low/strobe etc, so should I just de-solder all the components making them nothing but a + - pathway to the drivers?

if your not using them to regulate current, then remove every component from the board.

Yeah, the pill is usually just there to give you a place to make contact with the battery. All the electronics from the old flashlight doesn't serve any purpose in the build and should be removed.

Removed all the components on both pills this morning and they work like a charm, thanks guys.
