Yes you can put it in an empty module, but you'll still need to drive it.
 
It was a lot easier to do a search on here when we had the other search bar.
 
Found one, quite cheap. Also, I am going to use it with the link i provided above.

I'm buying these;

Driver Kit.
(AixiZ module case including ring, acrylic lens, spring, diode mount and end case)
(405-455nm 1W compatible driver board)
(AR coated specialty AixiZ lens for 405-455nm laser diodes)

Diode.
(Brand New 445nm 1W (1000mW) Blue Laser Diode in Aixiz Module)

Heatsink
(Laser Heat Sink module,fits 445nm 2w diode and more)

----

What more do I need to make a laser, can you please tell me what parts I need for the laser. (Yes, I do want heatsinking so it doesn't overheat and break).

Note: Will all these parts work together, I really hope they do. And yes, I am buying goggles to.
