The original 44 thread is quite long so I thought I would start a part 2 or updated 44 thread.
Now that we have seen what they are and the output available, as well as the wide divergence, what have we done, what do we want to do?
I like doing wood burning art and at a comfortable 10 feet, but mostly at brush stroke speed so I can do grey scale shading and learn all kinds of tricks to make pretty unique wood art.
I may make a power box that's cooled and use a fiber optic to power a light weight wand so painting with light will not mean weight lifting giant heatsinks.
This is more of a proof of concept and getting the power of the 44 under control, but please do share your ideas, builds and pretty blue beam videos.
Blue beams go well with smoke and fire, but please don't panic if your new, this will not blow a hole in you or chop your arm off, burn a few hairs and make you say ouch is about it......but remember to protect our eyes, always wear those laser safety glasses. Any laser can hurt our eyes and these are no exception.
Here is a pair of 44's both with G2's and 6x pairs, I would like to either cube a pair or use an expander, but I want to be able to paint in wood with light at brush stroke speed.
Enjoy, share and stay safe.
I have one beam rotated 50-60 degrees so the 5/16 long lines sit like a x on the wood, wave plated would be even better.
This is not art, just pics of the effect demonstrating proof of concept.
