Changing Blue Laser Spectrum to be more visible

Everybody know the green laser is more visible the blue laser (445nm).

Also high power green laser is more expensive than blue laser.

So, Id like to know if is possible change the blue laser with a cristal or something like that to turn that more visible like the argon laser ???

Do you know if it could be applied in laser shows ?

Thanks
Marcel

Hey, not sure exactly what you're asking, but if you're asking how much brighter a green is compared to a blue, you can use this Relative Brightness Calculator by Rhd to compare the brightness of various wavelengths.

And I've never seen someone use a crystal for blue semiconductor diodes. I believe crystals are only used in IR-pumped solid state systems.

Hi RyanElectro, In fact I wanna know if we put a filter or some material in front to blue laser beam to change the color to something closer to green and more visible.

No. The only way you could possibly do this is to use the blue laser to pump some dye, but that is an expensive, messy and tricky process.

Where can I get one of those Pr doped crystals? I wouldn't mind adding a 607 orange laser to my collection of wavelengths!

I may be willing to dish out $2k in the next few months. Hit me up! :D Heh.
