got mine yesterday! I've been too busy enjoying it to post!!!  ;D  AMAZING laser Igor! :) couldn't be happier!!  the build quality is the greatest, the light is super bright, glow in the dark lens cap is also great! See a couple pictures in action!  (try to ignore the mess, I just moved haha)

Hehe, i'm very glad you like it.. Just saw your email too.

I knew they would start popping up this week.. They just had to make their way from NY customs to the final destination.. They must have been released last week.

Thanks for the picture! :)

Hope you enjoy the laser very much!

Hey Igor!   Thanks Again for the great builds!   I wanted to tell you that I just got a thank you note from a good friend for "turning him on" to your violet laser, I sold him the higher output one of the two, as they were so near identical, and I feel sure the next ones will be as good.  I will send PP funds for 2 more today!   Keep up the outstanding work!  These are the best lasers I've found anywhere!

Hehe, you got him hooked, huh? ;)

I'm already preparing them, and i can ship in the beginning of next week. I just need to get more of my boost ICs...

This means i have two spots left for next week.

Very good.. :)

The manufacturer sent me coating test reports, to select the one with the lowest reflections (highest transmittance), and we are working on the mounting method.

I sent them a drawing of the lens nuts. They will have to reduce the rim of the lens, so it's 7mm in diameter, and fits in the standard lens nuts from AixiZ.

Hey Igor, long time, no see!

I just wonder, as I'm going to send my BR back to you for a current increase and lens replacement, do you have all the parts that it takes to do it (the other host, BR lens) yet? If you have, I'll send it to you A.S.A.P.

Do you have some spare red diodes? I'll send you an Email about that question (although you can possibly figure out why I'm asking it :'()

Re: FS: >110mW Blu-Rays - available

Actually, i just got an extra host today (because of an RMA), so i can raise your current and upgrade your laser to the new host at the same time... ;)
I'll just make an extra module for, with all the others.

I do have red diodes as well. Just pack it all up, and ship it to me. Drop me an email, and i'll give you shipping instructions.

Otherwise, i'm not here all the time, especially when working, so it's better to contact me via email, in order to get a quick reply..

I got mine today! ;D 405 is a lot better at burning than 532. I focused mine down to a point and it burns plain white stuff with ease. My RPL has a hard time doing light colored paper even with it focused to a point.

Re: FS: >110mW Blu-Rays - available

Told you it would come.. :)

Many popped up today. Too bad i'll be sleeping by the time it's dark there.. :D

I just tracked all of batch 4 and there is only one, that does not yet show delivery..
But usps only updates in the evening, so even that one may come today, depending on the time zone.

There's even one from batch 5, that arrived today, even tho it was shipped 5 days later. But that was Canada..

Re: FS: >110mW Blu-Rays - available

Forgot to ask..

I trust everyone took the custom laser warning label out of the battery compartment, before forcing the battery in? ;)
Are you going to put the labels on?

I couldn't convince myself to put them on for the longest time.. The lasers are pretty enough as they are. Normaly i use labels, when it needs some prettying up.. :)

But now i finally put a "<175mW 405nm" label on my 160mA PHR laser and a "<200mW 405nm" on my 6x laser, for the "greater good". ::)
I think i could get used to them.. :D

Some pics..

There is a little trick to putting the labels on perfectly, as in - not at an angle.
- Make sure the head is fully tightened to the body.
- Select the side you want the label on.. I chose the side where the name of the host is printed..
- Try to center the label with that side of the body, and gently let it touch the host with just the middle, at the desired height.
- Don't press it on completelly yet! You want to be able to rotate it a little.
- Hold the laser so, that the left edge of the label almost completelly blocks your view of the left edge of the head.
- You should only see a narrow stripe of the head from this angle.
- Rotate the label and align it with the left edge of the host.
- Press the middle on, so it stickcs, and verify it is aligned, and finish.

Enjoy!

And share lots of pictures.. ;)

I don't miss having a warning label, but it does serve a function. I like the looks of the laser without the warning label best!

Those cases are all so beautiful, I can see why colecting a few diferent ones would be an attractive idea.

Yeah, i like the labels most on hosts, which are more plain, or if they are black.. There, the label makes it look better.

But with these, it was actually hard for me to put them on. But i had to, simply to see and show what it looks like.. :)

Yeah, i'm really glad i got to keep one of the silver hosts.. An RMA replacement host saved it (bad switch)..

The paint keeps getting changed (sometimes it even changes between head, body and tailcap, and i have to find the right combination  ;D), and this was one of the last ones, in this particular shade.

I'll make sure you get two different ones again. But there won't be a different writing this time around. Only the shade. It's only noticable in some lighting conditions.

In this case you might actually want to put a label on, to tell them appart. I have labels in the power levels you requested..

Re: FS: >110mW Blu-Rays - available

IgorT do you have a site where I can buy it, I't'd be easier for me cause I don't know if I can trust someone by sending money and wait two->four days without knowing if you really sent it to me. I know you have huge rep but It would help a lot.
(like host it on Senkat s site or on HighTechDealz, thanks)

Thanks

;)

Re: FS: >110mW Blu-Rays - available

Wait.. I'm confused.. Are you kidding?  :-?

If not, then you could always make the order through my company, i guess. You can even get an actual invoice, if you want.

You know, if you order something through a web page or an email, in both cases the order and the money go to, and are handled by - a person..  The only difference between ordering through an email or a web page is just the medium you use for communication. In both cases you are talking to a person. But with a web page, that person is not necessarily talking back to you. A web page is just a means of advertising and wasting less time on customers. A way to make things less personal and quicker.

I prefer to talk to the people who order my lasers, to guarantee them the most attention possible, even if it means answering 70 emails from each of them (and it often does). It's the best way to make sure, they get what they want, and are happy. And you can always ask them about that.

Otherwise, i've been developing and building custom electronic devices for over 10 years by now, mostly for other companies. And they all prefer to talk to me personally, rather than ordering through a web page. Not one asked me to put down the phone, so they could click some buttons on our page yet. Because of the custom nature of the work (and a couple confidentiality agreements), the devices we usually build are not even listed for sale on the page, they are just described under "Research & Developement", as references.. Only the things the company resells are listed for direct ordering.

Because of this, there is a custom order form on my company's web page, where you can order just about anything you can imagine (if you're willing to pay for the developement, that is). The form gets forwarded to my company's order email address (if you select order) or to an email address for more info (if you click "Info").

You can use that form, if you want.
But the custom order form doesn't have pictures, for obvious reasons, and i would much rather spend what little time i have next to my real work, on making quality lasers, than modifying my web page for an order, tho. I hope you can understand that.

Otherwise, i use PayPal, and Registered Priority shipping, with a tracking number. This way, we are both protected. I hope that's good enough for you. It was good enough for everyone so far. I send a PayPal invoice one day before i ship, so there are no delays...

The tracking number shows up in the tracking system a day after shipping, and it shows where a package was forwarded to. Local post tracking pages often show the rest of the way after that, or they just show when it was delivered.
