I can confirm, that these really are 6x sleds! The red diode is that long can "Dilda diode", and the blu has the beam circumsizer on it!

I am sure these diodes are the same. As Kenom said, Wannaburn's sled had lightscribe functionality, requiring a better IR diode (the IR does the scribing). Naturally, things would be different in this sled. I would REALLY like to harvest my Blu-ray for you guys and test it out, but I am waiting on my Kryton, and I do not want to waste a 60 dollar diode (in case I kill it like I have done with the other 2 diodes in the sled  ;D ;D ).

I am going to post these off after school today. I was up all night doing a research paper too... I feel dizzy...

Not that I don't want the Kryton (and a 6X diode will end up in there), but I will not be able to wait for it. (very anxious) Amk only lives an hour away, so I should have the sleds by tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest...

I have a 6X in a 3405 that I built from a GGW-H20L running at 175mA's with a Meredith glass lens. It gives 186mW's.

We should be able to get a good comparison even though I will have the new diode in my Ice Box. I have two different readings of my 3405 6X. I will make the same comparisons.

Meredith glass lens - Coherent PM5200:

6X - GGW-H20L
* 150mA's - 155mW's
* 175mA's - 186mW's

I will record the readings at the same current settings with the new diode. Then maybe go up to 200mA's...

I'm excited to get the awesome power of the 6x diodes. Where's my package???? j/k, I'll be patient

Also, follow up to earlier about the adjustable driver with ranges for these, parts for them shipped today, should get them by Wed. If you want one, the option is available for the assembled drivers for $0.50 extra (after LPF discount). And FYI, I won't be selling stuff between Nov 3-23 because of school, so order this week if you do want one soon.

AMK i think you should hold sending Ryan his 6X BR, because his has test comming up and school is more important. so if you send it to him, and he does badly on his test, then he's gonna be blaming you for the distraction!!!!  ;D ;D ;D


Im gonna sit infront of the letter box at 1.00pm on tuesday and keep an eye out for the posty guy!!! Can't wait!!!

Jay can you also test it in a normal Plastic Acrylic lense, cause most of us will be using that of course

I agree.  In fact, I think that you should send his diode to me.  I will hold it for him until he is done with school completely.  I will even be willing to build it into a host and test it for him for him for the next six years.

I would be happy to test it in an AixiZ acrylic lens as well, except that I would have to press it into the AixiZ module to test is properly. I could carefully wrap some tape around an AixiZ nut so that it would fit into the Meredith module though, then try to get it perfectly straight...

Not planning on building one into an AixiZ at this point, so I don't want to press one into an AixiZ module just yet. But as soon as I get one of my Kryton barrels from Kenom, no problem! I'm sure by then, we will all know what to expect from these though...

I wonder that too although I already spent some of the money going towards this :'( I guess I'll have to transfer more out of my bank :-/ if this takes too long I'm afraid DX will take all my money :-[
