Collecting money on brand new S1 lenses

I know nothing about how much power a glass ;lens can handle BUT would be very surprized to hear that even our +3W diodes could do harm.

I was in a GB for PBS cubes (By Dave atPlex) and the first ones (samples) were tested very throughly.. including what they called 'baking' to see if anything can be harmed- to do that one member put IIRC 10W into one cube for HOURS--

dats some serious testing...


they passed btw (for 400 to 450nm)

I hope , with these lenses & my cubes , i can DIY my own dual blue 4+W for a 'mono' Projector (beamer w/ 15 K PTs)

I saw an illustration of how a laser beam passes thru a clear balloon and pops a black one inside--

Here are the instructions of how to track the package :

* until it leaves Israel you can track it over here : http://www.israelpost.co.il/hpcontent.nsf/EntryHomePage?ReadForm&L=EN the website tracking will not work on mobile phones for some reason. So track it via your PC.

* After that , you will be able to track it via your country's post office website ( Like the USPS in the US ).

^^ this method is related to the Regular Registered Airmail.

With Eco Post and EMS you will be able to track it via your country's post office website right away.

I was done actually a favor by NOT sending-as it would have made no difference except the extra cost of Express (which in this case would not be the best way-- )

hak, I am sorry your lenses haven't gone out yet. If there was anything I could have done about it, I would have made sure that yours were sent out. But, as empty as it sounds, all I can say is I am sorry.

no worries paul-it would have taken a miracal to get them before i leave- anyway-

before I return home the 26th I will have met with ~40 forum members i had not yet met in person-- and with another 25 or so i have met before- one of the coolest things about LEMs putting faces on usernames- networking at its finest!!

also just got 6 sample glass lenses to test- AR broadband coated 400 to 700 nm.

They look the same in a pic- no time ATM to try them- will do at SELEM or when I am with members in Dallas Tx.

As I said even sending them on the 1st via EMS Express will still not help. Due to delays and because israel post would have sent them out on the 3rd anyway. So even then you would not get them by the 8th.

I want to apologize again for that issue. There is nothing I could have done.

Anyone know if something like this expander lens on ebay can somehow be fitted with the S1 lens? This is just one of the available sizes, not sure what size to order yet, if it can fit in the holder with the S1 lens.

10x8mm Double Concave Glass Len for 532nm Green Laser Module Diode Beam Expander | eBay

Laser Project, I don't think this particular lens will work for you. This double concave lens is 8mm in diameter, and the lens in the S1 is 6.3mm. It seems like I have some lenses in my eBay watch list that may work, but this one is too far out of the diameter of the other lenses that can be used in these modules. I will look for you and if I come across one, I will let you know.

Your best bet is a lot of 10 double concave lenses for $10.42 on www.ebay.com/itm.110887329755. These are 5mm in diameter and would work better than an 8mm lens would. They still aren't the magic 6mm that would be perfect, but a better choice than the other lenses.
