When this thread went up the links for the pen lasers showed locking tail caps as included. I asked about the locking tail caps. I also have direct email to/from Kevin to confirm they came with them. Obviously not your fault they didn't, but I still expected (and still expect) to get them.

And so far, still no sign of them...

Well. With the slow *ss china shipping it could be 4 weeks but also two months.. Let me know if they still haven't popped up in a while. I will contact kevin

:thanks: for taking care of this! :) The keyswitch is actually the only safety feature I really like, because it lets me carry lasers without risk of burning holes in my pocket :p

I finally got my keycaps. In fact, I got 6 of them (I was expecting 4). Package had my address and phone, but someone else's name. Anybody get 4 that was expecting 6?

Not your problem mate better to mucht then too little :wave: If members miss tailcaps kevin needs deal with them not you :na: Wonder how he still messesup names on the packaging. It is amazing..

Have you guys also seen the 30mW 520nm laser?

You can find it here:

HL 520nm diode 30mW 50mW

It is way cheaper then before. Would this be the same diode as the 50mW? If yes then it is awesome since it has a pot on the driver. And after ARG his torture test we might be able to tweak it! :)

I can't wait for an SKYLASER GB #3, but Offroad told me nothing is planned in near future. For all who want a Skylaser, in a few weeks he'll get a small stock of laserbtb products (like an groupbuy, just a bit more expensive because the shipping costs add up to him).

So Offroad, any news about this 'project'? :D

Thanks for the notification :) Well yes! :beer: My laser are in production as we speak. I expect kevin to send me a billing in near future. I wanted to do this earlier but i actually wanted to wait untill the last issues in this GB were resolved. By now everybody has gotten more then enough time to do so.

I am not telling what i have exactly ordered before i actually got it and it is up to spec before i make promises i can't live up to. I will notify this thread when i am about to post the thread in the BST section.

Sorry for the long delay.
I got my batteries and tested my laser. It hovers just below 1W.

However i think this is because part of the beam is blocked by the aperture maybe like 1 tenth of it. This is because the beam fires crooked

Have you tried the aperatue sticker mod? I just had an laser orgasm on my PL532-500. I noticed my beam was slightly blocked aswell and i managed to get a peak of almost 900mW after adjusting the sticker :worthy:

Ok ill take a look when i get home today but it appears to be the threads on one side of the aperture.
I guess I could always file them off since I don't use the diffraction grating.

With mine only the sticker was blocking. You don't want to file or bore in the aperature as the dust from it can block even more light. Also there is a chance you hit the lens and screw up big time. Would be happy with it as is :) If you do want to risk your laser for that 100mW extra be very very very carefull and file upsidedown so that the dust falls down on the floor and not on the lens which you want to cover anyway.
