Actually, yes, it will reflect that much into your eyes. They are class 4 lasers for a reason, because you don't fuck around with them, they hurt you. Doing what he did could have easily caused permanent eye damage.

You post clearly stated that what he did is not dangerous, what if someone here took your advice and decided that it was safe to play around with a laser like that?

If you had to choose, what would you do: light ten cigarettes like that or do what kipkay did? I'd light a thousand cigarettes like this before the other option. This was the only message I tried to give!

I freaking know it's dangerous. can't you see the point? The title of the thread states that what this moron did was worse than what kipkay did. I just said in my opinion kipkay is MUCH WORSE.

For the record, your reply did say that what he did "is not that dangerous at all."

Really, we should not be comparing degrees of stupidity. It's like trying to determine what calibur bullet would be less damaging to your eye. Neither option should be tolerable under any circumstances.

Of course. but the thread title isn't "look another moron". It's saying "wow, this moron is worse than kipkay", to which I reply "not in my opinion". Now people start flaming me for it?

If I used "that" in a wrong or confuse way, I'M SORRY. But this is not what all the comments on my rep page are saying, threating me like if I didn't know what a class IV laser is. CALM DOWN GUYS

Specular reflections from a 40W laser directed to your face to light a cigarette will cause damage.. Like Ben and Diachi said , dont be an IDIOT and give false information.

Sorry, you clearly states false safety information, then defended it twice. The point was not to compare kipkay to laserscope, it was to point out that lighting a cigarette in you mouth using a laserscope is unsafe. Keep your mouth shut on safety...

Learn your facts before talking crap. Specular reflections from a 45W q-switched laser will cause retinal burns - from several metres. Never mind from close range off of a cigarette. idiot

You are wrong! Give it up already! Stop trying to defend information that everyone knows is false, it does not make you look cool, if anything, it would make you look better if people saw that, when confronted with your information being wrong, you realized that and stopped trying to argue your point.

It doesn't seem that high powered to me. I burn things with 60W of 10600nm from time to time and even at a lower setting, it would set something like that mattress on fire almost instantly. I would expect something far more spectacular from 40W q-switched.

So I don't get raped: yes it's still a danger.

I would like to mention the fact that the gentlemen in the vid was lighting a joint with the laser...at least that's what the video said he was doing, in any event this is a fail. DRUGS AND LASERS are not a good idea.

Can we all agree on this? Almost every article on plane lazing/ chopper lazing the purps were using weed, drugs, alcohol.

Kipkay was wrong and the video posters were wrong... also don't do drugs and be
stupid with high powered lasers. KAY!!!

shit, I know it's fucking white as well as I know it's dangerous. I just said in my opinion what kipkay did was worse. I've said it 10 times here and there just in case someone still didn't got it, if you can't understand this there's no point in arguing anymore, have a nice day and bye!
