Or say a 1W 445nm... This saturday I was at a rooftop party... and generally having a very good time, firing my lasers in the sky quite a bit.
So this retard with a green pen shined it at me. Didn't catch me in the eye, but pissed me off:yabbmad: I walked over, and grabbed a balloon on the way.
Put the balloon a foot from his face and fired my 445nm right through it from the bottom... obviously instant pop.
All I said with a deadpan face was "Imagine that's your eye."
I think he shitted himself. I can be kind of scary when mad:scowl::eg: and with the little demo... well he disappeared from the party.

Sometimes I carry my XL100 around. Instead of people awwing over the 1W+ 445 beam most of the people just completely focus on my now mirror polished 6 trit focus adapter

^^^I must say... this weekend has been eye opening for me in terms of using balloons for safety demos
I might start carrying a few around, when I have lasers on me... but one word of caution... the surface of a blown up balloon is quite reflective. I always popped them with the laser literally on the balloon.

I was riding with my dad a long time ago in a small airplane, a Cessna. My dad was flying, he was getting his pilots license and some dumb*** shined a green laser at the cockpit. My dad was blinded for a couple of seconds. He had to turn the plane while he couldn't see.
Thank god we got back safe.

OK so I don't feel like retyping it so Im going to copy something i posted on PL a wile ago
I went over to a friend house Halloween weekend and there was a kid there shining a laser pointer every where.After being hit repeatedly I went over and talked to his dad.
He tells me his son bought at a thrift shop in Myrtle Beach. He said they were laying in a basket at the check out counter counter with batteries in them.
And the man selling then sold it to his son without checking with him first. he also told me it would light a match and burn leaves. After that I went back to the kid (still shining it all around and hitting people with it) and take and look at the warning label.
IT SAID <50mW Yea right this thing had to be 100 or more
after talking to the kid i come to find out
He knows nothing about laser

He implied he shines it at aircraft
And he refused to beleive that if the laser hits his eye it will cause eye damage
I really hope that that laser was POT moded to be that powerful That way it will die soon and do us a favor.
