I would do your research before buying from them. I have only read negative things about them.

Some links to start:
Laserworld - Page 15
Laserworld CL-RGB 2000

I think these people (or this person) didn't buy it directly from Laserworld itself but from e-bay etc..
This seller seemed to have two lines in lasers
-refurbished (sold as new) (were all the complains come from on that forum)
-and new

Atleast that's what im reading on dutch forums wirering to the link you gave me.

I think i'll just buy one and see what happens :D
Will do a review of it when it arrives, but im still thinking.... and doing some more e-mailing and questioning.

Cheers.

Ok Quick update,

Recieved e-mail and im happy he's being honest.

Basicly he's saying laserworld sucks :D

He did offer me a 1,4 W rgb laser (not from laserworld ofcourse)
But he told me it was probbly out of my budget..
So i e-mailed back to him that i have a green handheld that costs 3000+ euro
I asked him some more info about this 1,4 W rgb laser.
He said it's way better then the Laserworld with better colours and brightness.

It's not a e-bay seller or anything but a true store
www.laserverkoop.nl (dutch)

I'm awaiting his e-mail.

Cheers

Might be worth checking on PL for higher end gear... Probably many people actually own that stuff there... I can only speak for some low end projectors myself...

Out of curiosity.
How much are you going to spend on a 1.4W to 2W RGB ?.?.

It looks like folks here have you on the right track. Avoid Laserworld at ALL COSTS!!

One key indicator that things are not as they seem is this:

total power:
minimum 1500mW
maximum 2000mW

Respectable sellers ALWAYS sell their products over spec, so if a respectable manufacturer says "3W" as the power output, that is the END OF LIFE output for the laser, and the system will always produce more than that when new. There is never a "minimum and maximum" output. Respected manufacturers and sellers always use "end of life" ratings to classify their lasers. Stating that a laser will make "somewhere between 1.5 and 2W" means that they are aware of the fact that the laser modules themselves are always sold to them overspec, but they are using the fact that the lasers are overspec to sell the system to you rated higher than the lasers themselves are rated, if that makes sense..

Yeah, i figured that out now, Thank god for that :)

I'll try to translate what he wrote (couse it's in dutch)

Dear me ^^

If you are familiar with lasers, then you know that laserworld is really dissapointing.

They give the Max power rating but in reallity it's way lower.

.....................

Then he started about this 1,4 W laser (just recieved new e-mail)

Cheers, and reading new mail.

Do you get 50k galvos and analog color for that kind of money?

No.
That would be 3 to 5000€ and up.

I just bought one for fun.
Like you do when buying your first laserpointer.
This would be 25kpps vibratory mirror system

Cheers.

I think you did OK Smeer.. In the future I'd check out Laser King TEC co. out of Hong Kong, they make projectors very similar to the one you bought, and they use lasers from one of the top brands, CNI. They're also very affordable! I'd reckon that your projector is of Chinese origin too, as most of those companies buy from China, test the projectors themselves to verify quality, and then resell. You'd save by cutting out the middle man.
