But-- will we ever own an orange SS laser??
many like orange out of pity..
... its the loniest color..
no word (in English) will even rhyme with poor old orange..

Kenom makes awesome 'swirly-colors' ala GROOVE..

knobs that coordinate with the wavelength seems both approperate fashionable.
as humans we need to remember that our ability to properly accessorize is, after all, the only thing seperating us from the great apes..


purple.. also lonely and no rhymes either...

you need to change purple to violet- :crackup::na:

So, I'm still trying to figure out if your angry with me or...?

But yeah, orange. It's a nice warm color. and it looks bad ass with black.
I.E.: That blacked out Porsche 911 with the orange calipers. Nice...
Call me crazy, hah.

Edit: Mrcrouse, would the gold color actually be real gold? I might just pick one up for fun if thats the case.

Unfortunately I do not have the facilities to do gold plating. I saw some anodizing dye that says it's "gold" that is as close as I can get it. I most likely won't be doing that one, but put it up there mainly to see how much interest there would be. Perhaps eventually I'll do gold, but not anytime soon.

ME? angry-I never get angry

I have been know to get 'even' tho... and thats more satisfying than getting angry.

I think one can gold plate with a battery and some wire and whatever solution all that stuff goes into- gold can be plated AFAIK thinner than any other metal- I read somewhere that a very small amt can be drawn into a VERY long VERY thin wire.

IN fact- the web of the Golden Orb spider is stronger than a real gold wire of the same diameter. Gold leaf is a good example of how thin this metal formed. Maybe you could glue some gold leaf to a plain aluminum focus knob- i dunno;)

I still prefer the anodizing. It is much tougher than a thin soft layer of gold would be. Only anodizing for now guys, sorry.

I have to agree with those suggesting the colors match that of the output beam.

At present, I'm only burning my fingers on a 445nm pointer, so I vote the first run be in blue.

Black and silver will likely be popular alternatives to those not impressed by color matching.
Add burning Reds and Greens, and it may be possible these 5 colors serve the bulk of people's needs.

I agree. I prefer the matching colors. Easy identification. Don't forget violet. It's a wonderful wavelength. Haven't seen a whole lot of them recently though.

I really love the idea of having these in common wavelength colors. I'd love to have some matching C6 hosts too. :)

whatever the choice you can count on the quality of Mike's work-- he is another Moh with his crazy low prices too.

Check out his lab heatsinks for AixiZ modules-- almost 5 oz each and perfectly machined w/ grub screw too.

so we can send our c6's to you to anodize the hosts to match our knobs too?

lol jk that would be alot of work but would be cool to do. I also love all black but i do like that idea of matching the wavelength. Blacks in the lead so I am liking the poll so far.

Yes, anodizing a complete C6 is available. The cost for that is going to be between $30-$40.
