Has anyone out their thought about using a dewalt cordless for a host for high powered hand helds. This seems obviouse but no on is doing it. I prepose a five watt ir or four watt blue using four diodes two over and two under with the focusing optics where the drill chuck is. :gun::gun:

and then do what wth it??
put that energy and $$ into building a 445 2W projector and you would have something useful IMO.


you anywhere close to Naples?

That could be neat, but I'm pretty wary of any lasers being put in to gun chassis, as it might make people think you're armed with a weapon (and in many ways you are).

I don't think anyone would mistake a giant yellow and black drill to be a gun.

EDIT: except maybe the cops who will shoot you dead if you have a cell phone.

If I pull a Dewalt screw gun out what will they think? I'm gonna screw em to death?! I just want to put a powerful laser on a futuristic chassies that it deseves. And you arnt bad looking if that's your pic.

Well if I saw someone toting a gun-shaped object like that pumping out 4W of blue laser light... I'd be pretty scared.

The cops would frisk you for a weapon if you had a roll of certz in your front pocket. I wouldn't think of pointing anything towards the cops. I wouldn't even want them to know I had a laser of this magnitude.

In all honesty, i'd be scared if someone was waving a turd shaped 4 watt laser around too :D
