For my first RG yellow laser build, I used red and green laser pens from ebay like these 3pcs Green Blue Violet Red Light Beam Powerful 5mW Laser Pointer Pen | eBay . The red runs off of a 2x AAA battery pack but the green runs off of a 9v because of some heat damage while I was soldering it. When both beams are turned on, the dot appears lime green but shifts to red slowly because the green DPSS laser is temperature sensitive.

I would love to see a complete build guide. Pictures of the inside would be awesome too! +rep

The modules and filter were super glued. The two white .47 ohm resistors prevent the leads on the green module from overheating.

Awesome,
Simple yet effective. Aligning it must have been a pain

It was. I superglued the filter into place, but it was still unaligned after the glue dried. I had to press a piece of foam between the module and filter to correct it.

Did ya align it while it was on?

Yes, the one I got from O-like was a pain to align. The big issue is they don't have the same divergence and without fixing that the beam will look different from different sides/angles.
Cool though. +REP

I aligned it while it was on to a point about 3m away. It would have been easier if the point was closer.

It would of been easier, but your angle of error would increase. I am thinking of building a laser mirror chamber to allow me to focus my lasers more accurately without standing meters away from the laser. Good build and alignment. :)

Is the picture in your signature something you did yoursrlf?
No unfortunately it is not something I set up, but is something I would love to have permission one day to do in the UK.
I saw this image and loved it. Who knows I am building a collection of wavelengths and am creating a black hole in my pocket due to this forum. :D
One day I might just be able to do it.
