Hello,

Well DTR is no longer stocking the 635nm Single Mode diodes, and I don't really want to wait for the long boat from china, so if anyone has one they want to sell, let me know.

Let me know,
Isaac

sorry isaac, i wouldn't have recommended one if i knew dtr was out.
i've disliked those mm 635's since my one and only mitsu 300. the beam is so bad it makes our m140's look like single mode imo:rolleyes:

I actually really like the beam on the mitsubishi diodes, at focus I like the way it is like a flat sheet of light. But I really do need to have good runtimes so thank you for the suggestion.

A little on the lower side but I have a Sanyo 40mW 635nm diode. I have build a laser with 60mW output and I don't think it can do 100mW.

It is the most right dot.

How bright is it? I am trying to put a nice single mode diode in the MS-V4 from Sinner so I want it to end up being a nice laser.

It hasn't that bright dot like the Mitsubishi diode. It is comparable with a 250mW 660nm LPC826 diode.
The diode is also case positive.

It really makes you think (well atleast me) why red is so hard to get in a nice single mode high powered diode, when it's the first color lasers started with.

Have a good weekend all....

Cheers, Sm.

BUMP!!!!! I still need one of these diodes....not terribly picky about output but would prefer it to do ~100mW.

Hi, just wondering, you posted this on the 11th, and today is the 23rd, so 12 days, you could have just bought it from china and it would have been here in the next 3-4days, since I buy a lot of things from china and it takes ~15days to arrive. I am asking this since I dont know if the ones sold here would be of better quality or same as the ones from china?

I had a lot going on so I didn't really notice it. I have bought in the past 2 weeks:

1 x PL520 Diode: $145
1 x PL450B Diode: $52
2 x MS-V4 Hosts: $70
2 x MicroBoosts: $62
1 x GLP-594: $190
2 x Arctic Silver Adhesive: $16
1 x Charger: $18
2 x C6 Hosts: $26
2 x Focus Adapters: $10
2 x Heatsinks: $14

For a total of ~603 dollars....maybe I need to slow down. I could have bought a projector from Hakzaw1.

I personally don't have a credit card since I know I would make terrible decisions with one.

I think I've got a 20mW one from DJNY's GB a while ago. Great beam characteristics; never used. Never got round to building it into a laser.

Prettymuch free to a good home. :p

I'll bite!!!! That would be a great way for me to fill in that bit on my wavelength list. Do you know what would be a good driver to run it at?
