A 250mW blu-ray? I'm not making them at the moment due to the high cost of the laser diode and rarity of them. Check with IgorT for a x6 bluray. If its a 280mW red burner your after then I sent a pm about this.

PM sent. Standard host as shown in this thread with copper sink and red burner power set to 280mW is $140 shipped anywhere in 4-10 working days.

Wow... that's quite impressive

Btw, I have that Romisen in my hands and no doubt, it's a sweet host, but I also bought myself this Ultrafire Cree C3 - with extension tube. I believe the diameter of the removable head is similar to the Romisen (I'll try to do an exact comparison tonight.)

I just thought that having the option of playing around with the power source by using or not-using the extension tube (...assuming that is allowed with the driver in question)...

What's your opinion? Black, Cu & lots of 660nm sounds to me like a nice combo  :D

Anyways, that C3 seems to be identical to the RC-A3s used by you, Igor & a couple of the other lads. So my qustion still stands... given that these are normally powered with 3.7V froma a 14500, what could we do with an extension tub, if anything? I guess 2x14500 sounds a bit overkill... but that's what DIYers love the most, lol ;D

I use the flexdrive so 2x14500 is about 8V which exceeds the flexdrive 5V maximum and would probably kill it. The maH of a 14500 is sufficient that no extension tube is necessary unless you need really long run time of some sort of 2V battery combo for 4V. And yes, the copper sink in black host is sweet ;)

Awesome looking build Chris. I can't wait to get my hands on it. My trio of look-a-like lasers is finally done. 3 identical hosts, putting out 3 different color laser beams. When I get my new lap-top on-line, I'll up-load some photos of the "TRIPLETS" for ya to drool over ;) ;D [smiley=vrolijk_26.gif] Thanks, CHRIS

OMG... I am so like "green" with envy...  ;D

I was wondering this whole time why no one has done this & figured it wasn't possible... but my eyes do not deceive me, lol  ;D

Ah... I hope this is not a one off 'cause once you're done with my red, we're gonna have to talk about this mean little green machine :D

I depends on exactly what you give me and how much work is involved but figure on something like $60 shipped back to you.
