Daguin, can you change the titles of threads? because i cant.

I'd like to fix this issue... I dont need you guys thinking im a liar, and a false advertiser..

I truly meant well... and i was just really excited when i finished the build, so that most likely contributed to my excentric thread title...

If anyone can change it to

When I have time I will stick a 8x in here I don't much care for the most powerful, but I like small.

The whole unit acts as the heat sink it is magnesium alloy I believe... and run times
would be short not for the diode sake just for batt.



the only thing is for sure Jay will get some money from me for that high dollar lens.;)

thats hard for me to get used to I don't mind paying for anything to much , but lenses come on

Contrary to the impression some hold, I am just a member like everyone else.

Hyperbole does not necessarily indicate a "lie." When we are excited, we have a tendency to only see the "best" of a creation. I started very mildly reminding you of your tendency to overstate. I did not accuse you of lying. The discussion then became more pointed as you continued to fail to see your hyperbole. Others may not understand the difference, but I do.

If you overstate a laser's output, people will not tell their friends that you "get excited." People will tell their friends that you sell under spec lasers. If you tell people that this is the biggest and bestest, and they find out that it was not what you said it was, they will not tell their friends that you were proud of your creation. They will tell their friends that you lied. I am just trying to help you learn how to succeed in the long term.

One of the reasons I pointed this stuff out is to help you be more successful with your business. As I warned you about before, people will cease listening to you after they see that your word must be taken "with a grain of salt." People want to make informed purchases, NOT to be "sold" something.

If someone buys the geatest, most magnificent, thing possible in the whole danged universe and then they find out it is pretty much just like other things, they feel ripped off even if the verbiage was simply the result of the sellers enthusiasm.

EDIT: this was to the guy who said JAY's lenses are to expensive

Do you have ANY idea what it costs to manufacture those special 405-G1 lenses!

Theres AR coatings involved, the lenses are manufactured in a CLEAN facility. and so on...

$53 bucks isnt CRAP compared to what some people sell them for... i bet you cant find a cheaper one.

Anyways, I'm an AVID 405-G1 fan. I use them on EVERY blu-ray build. I have not recieved a SINGLE bad lens. and EVERY one performs right up to par

And that host is pretty long, i thought you said you like small?

So i OVERSTATED the output... ? how. its 428mW at 304mA literaly

so how am i selling an underspec laser Dave?? I'm so lost...

And i didnt say it was the BIGGET and BESTEST, i said it IS the MOSTPOWERFULL SMALLEST LASER. meaning it IS the most powerful laser of THAT size...

So please list my lies... i want to know, and i mean NO disrespect, this is just really getting to me Dave... i dont see how i am false advertisin, or selling underpec! even jayrob sais its 428mW...

And i took the first post out.... AND took it out of my sig... there isnt any worlds most powerfull smallest laser anything anywheres but the title, wich we cant change.

Dude, you are frothing at the mouth. You are also not reading what I write but rather reading what you want. I am trying to help you so you don't look like a chump. But that is alright. You are free to say whatever you want and I will continue to write whatever I want. I guess in your world no one used hypothetical examples, eh?

Nothing in that post even mentioned the 8X keychain laser. I was giving you vague and hypothetical examples of why it was necessary to avoid hyperbole. I have never once accused you of lieing.

And yet, you jump in and DEFEND your listing of the 8X and then DEMAND that I list your lies. I don't dislike you. I am just unwilling to try to help someone with a chip so precariously balanced on his shoulder.

You remind me of someone. I haven't gotten enough of your communication patterns down yet. You may or may not be this person. However, in the mean time, you jump to your own defense for things that have not even been attacked and have fairly dramatic mood swings.

You may have let your eye roam over the words in the post, but you have not "read" them. You see boogeymen where none exist.

And my name is Tyler Sweet, I live in North Carolina, and im 21years old.... i am NOT who you think i am Dave... it would be very sad if you truly believed that i was someone else... I just talked to Jayrob on the phone today... ask him.

And im sorry i wasnt quite sure what a "hyperbole" is, and i didnt realize your statement was an example.

I'm sorry for that, i stand corrected 100%

So what do i need to do dave.. break it down for me. The LAST thing i want is to lose your respect.... the respect of someone i've ALWAYS looked up to.

Start by going back to post #51 and re-reading it with running a business and communication in mind rather than looking for attacks on yourself and/or your listing.

After that read through the rest of the posts to see that even after that post which got you fired up, I was still working to get your laser sold

Just adding "please" does not change a demand into a request.

Human communication is my field. I am very good at deciphering sub-text.
