Hi everyone, 2nd batch of 100 lower price :)

No these are not the 1W Casio units, but they are 50mw brand new. Noted pricing is a bit more than the Casio ones, but might be a good fit for you guys looking for a bit lower power rating or this specific diode type.

NOTE: There's a customer is running this at 500mw I'm told

Single Nichia Blue Laser Diode

445nm, 50mw

SPECS:
Optical Output Power: 50mw
Wavelength: 440 - 455 nm
Threshold Current: Min 10ma, Typical 30ma, Max 50ma
Operating Current (50mw) 45ma, 80ma, 125ma
Slope Efficiency: 0.5W/A, 1.0 W/A, 1.5W/A
Operating Voltage: 3.5, 4.5, 5.5(v)
Beam Divergence Angle: Θ// 5, 10, 20 Θ┴ 30, 37, 50

Please, confirmed paypal addresses only!

$99 Each

If interested please EMAIL me! superchargedw211@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Gary

Hmm. With an operating current of 40-125mA, I'd say these aren't the same diodes. Maybe lower power, sure, but what's the output like - beam and mode-wise? At $99 that'd be an expensive experiment.

But if these were TEM00, i'd certainly be interested in it for a lower powered yet rounder beam build.

Beam Divergence Angle: Θ// 5, 10, 20 Θ┴ 30, 37, 50

Translated = the spot at . . .

45mA = 5mmx30mm
80mA = 10mmx37mm
125mA = 20mmx50mm

It is a line like the Casio diodes. However, at these outputs, you can use the stock acrylic and get a much shorter line. If you can find (or have) an older style with the rear aperture, it will be even better.

Peace,

If these were 1/4 the price, I'm sure a lot more people would be interested just for some safer builds, but if it costs over twice as much for 1/20th the power, simple math turns most away.

It isn´t that simple. Can you find me a exactly 5mW (not more) 532nm that is cheaper than the cheapest 50mW greenie? I doupt, same here, some people just looking for lower power.

These would be ideal for "real" Pointers, i think.
Low threshold = no energy waste and instabillity like a underdriven Casio
But at 99$ its still a big shot...

Can you press them in AiXiZ?
