Hello!

First of all, I have to say English is not my first language, I am trying my very best to make myself clear and understandable. So please forgive me if my sentences are grammatically not 100% correct.

Okay, so let me introduce myself. I am Jesse, 17 years old (almost 18) and just peeking around the corner of the laser hobby. I am still at school, studying to eventually work on the ambulance. Along school I work as a photographer. Also, I am an employee in the greenhouse (lilies) and in the summer months you can find me on the sunflower fields, cutting sunflowers.

I joined this forum because I've read so much helpful information and wanted to learn even more about lasers.

For those interested my signature states the laser(s) and laser related equipment I currently own.

So that's it, I hope you got to know me a little better after reading this.

Welcome to the LPF, Jesse. I don't see any lasers in your signature. Does that mean you don't own any yet? Enjoy your stay and always stay safe.

welcome and thank you for your introduction well done. If you need to know about a specific topic use the search bar on the bottom of the screen. basically its our LPF google search. Fine folks here and a multitude of information at hand. Enjoy and be safe always.

Thank you, you don’t see any? Strange, I updated my signature, now you should be able see them. But in the strange case you stil can’t: I currently own a 5mw 532nm and a 1W 445nm / 450nm with which I have a problem, which was unfortunately caused by user error. Now I can see them. I don't know if I have seen your thread on the 1 watt laser's problem. Been quite busy today trying to finish up a project that has taken a lot longer than I had anticipated. I will check it out when I have the time. :yh:

It is not necessary to delete ALL your posts. Just the ones that are after the first one. You can always use the first post to combine information contained in the following ones. Very nice of you to clean these up, though. ;)

you are in a place many of us would DIE to be in.... at 18 your world is there ... Lasers or Photonics- has a gazillion companies and new stuff keeps coming and so many jobs waiting for you.. I will send you a list of them near you.. and a link to get a Laser Magazine free on-line... with all the newest stuff...... a new application for lasers happens every day.. only a few here make a living from lasers--but you can!!!''welcome jesse
