Anyone know if you can hook up a router straight to a computer or does it have to be hooked up to a modem? Our crappy standard Comcast modem only has one internet port thingy. I play COD4/5, Halo 3 and Far Cry 2 on Xbox but its in our basement and we only have one internet port in our house which is on the first floor and the modem is connected to. I dont feel like buying a 300' cable and having to hog the internet every time I want to play Live. Sorry to threadjack. Thanks.
