Re: X65 vs Electrical Tape

16x, 8x RW, 16x DL.

Is not that new to me. I could reassemble the drive if I had to.
Never played with laser diodes though and if I damage the diode.. well you get the picture.

I still got the 20-50mw ebaser with driver board. Was thinking I could mod it a bit
to hold the diode. LOL I messed the module from that one up BAD.

excellent match light.  Very impressive

Oh I'm presently writing up a complete walkthrough for a DIY red laser. starting from harvesting the diode to putting it all together in 3 different flashlight bodies with written instructions as well. I just tore into a Sony DW-D26A and netted myself a good diode.

Thanks.

I look forward to your DIY Red post.
I have several mini mags and cheapos.

Well, I am already complete on one. I need to reverse the process to show how it's done. Basic and simple. Thing is nice too. I'm putting the last finishing touch on it. Here is what the one looks like so far. The center clear plastic piece is actually coming out and is just a "template" for a black piece.

SenKat, You can now see the results of my last idea for putting a closing over the end and allowing it to look good.
