Ok, after about 5 hours or playing about I have finally got it working. I have learnt so much about lasers in one night my head hurts now. Something I learnt tonight... in fact about 10 mins ago... some of the effects in the video are rather ugly because I am using a laser pointer to test it out which does not have blanking.

Enough chat now, enjoy the video. Sorry about the quality though, Premiere pro didn't like the converted video again and just destroyed the quality. If you click on the embedded video and then on the little button second in from the bottom right of the player the quality is a lot better.

Considering that there was no blanking that is pretty impressive :) I bet you are well chuffed with your purchase. Do you know if it can support more than one colour? ie is there more than 1 blanking output?

looking good, but you so need to get a module with blanking. it makes such a difference mate.

also start saving for a DAC ;)

Yeah I know, how much are they and what ones would you recommend?

By the way everyone there were hundreds of effects programmed in there already, I just stopped recording after 3 mins because my arm was aching from holding the laser pointer on and holding my camera up. Really confused about the channel selection with this thing though.

I have no idea...

I mean there are switched numbered 1 to 10 and number 1 is what is in the video, just goes through all the pre-programmed effects. The guide that I got from the internet says that if I change the channels to a second one then it will do even more... Cant work out how to change the channels.

Ah right ok then.

What laser modules could you recommend to me then? I would like it to be a greenie between 50 to 100mW without having to spend over $400.

but theres lots out there, im not up on the cheapest module

Good luck! I'm busy revising the schematic at the moment to make it more understandable

Brilliant video Lambo [smiley=thumbsup.gif] That is just awesome. To achieve that just a couple of years ago would cost you thousands.

Lanling has some nice green modules with TTL blanking

30mw -$80
50mw -$99
150mw-$239
300mw-$540
400mw-$800

and dont forget he has a discount for LPF members, so he will beat those listed prices ;)
