Hello there I'd like to swap a 1/4 W orange laser diode for a VEGA yellow 5 to 10mW hand held laser. Also got lots of other stuff to swap for it instead post or PM me thanks!

Your crazzzzy!

You can make your own yellow laser easy but a orange diode is super super rare and you want to trade it for a silly 5-10mw yellow vega???

REAL yellow is very hard to make, it uses a very complicated DPSS process that is horribly inefficient.

Still 250mW of 622nM v 10mW 594nM i know what i would go for.

The "carrot" is tempting, but I would have a hard time trading my Vega for a just about any diode. -Glenn

hmm, interesting offer.

Is this a freak diode happens to output 622nm or you have more than just one?
Was it manufactured by Boston Lasers?

is it 5.6mm, 9mm, or something bigger ?

info please..!!!!

As far as I know, this laser diode is nearly unobtainable technology and I only have 3 working units. They are in a large metal block package similar to that used for a laser diode bar.

Here is a picture of the raw beam it makes, You can use a cylinder lens and an aspheric lens to make a very well collimated dot with it. Cool it to 10 deg C with a TEC.
