I have noticed all over the forum there are many "How do I-" threads.

I want to end all of that and put it all into this thread.I want this to be used after someone searches and finds nothing.

All you do here is just post a question as a response.
Then,whoever wishes to help some other people just quote a question and answer it.

I wish to start this off by asking a question:

Is it possible to build a heatsink for a laser module at home (DIY) ?

yes it is. if you use the aixiz module just get an aluminum heatsink from an old computer and drill a 12mm hole in it. slide the module in and also make hole for a set screw.
