The first thing I need is some lead foil. Somewhere around 1 1/2 inches wide and about 3 feet long to make sure I have enough. No adhesive on it please. I need to to be able to conduct electricity.

The second thing I need is one of these. White preferably. I haven't been able to find a single one locally. Only packs of 10 which is way more than needed.

Sorry, not going to be able to help but just curious, what will you use lead foil for?

Wrap around a battery terminal. The cable is still loose even after tightening the screw all the way.

Oh I see. I thought you'll be using it as shielding for xrays :p

If it's for those car battery posts, I think copper or aluminum sheet could work. Or even a short length of right size copper tubing with a slit cut on one side so you can expand it and slide it onto the terminal then close up once you tighten the terminal clamp.

I prefer to use lead for a couple reasons. One, it will help keep corrosion down due to different metal types. Two, lead won't corrode if the battery acid touches it.

Just how big and powerful is this laser your building if it uses batteries that have acid in them

Those wall plate inserts are called "keystone inserts", might make it a bit easier to find :p
