WTB Burning Laser For Lighting "Tabacco"

I own goggles .

Still working on an attachment, but it will limit the size of the object.

Course steel wool. It just scorched the matter when used directly.

Of course! That would work perfectly, you don't mind if I steal that trick, do you?

and using a lower powered laser, I'm sure we could vaporize the matter directly. I've never tried, so it's only in theory... I'm just wondering which would be more efficient, I'm thinking the steel wool, because it might be faster? not sure..

Only if you cut me in for 10% of all sales if you go commercial. :D

 Hmmm Wonder if a post could hold up in copyright court?

If i ever, you can have 20, haha. If I did ever sell them it would probably only be a few builds. If I ever went any bigger, I'm sure it would draw attention and the FDA would be all over my ass.

Haha, tell me about it. Imagine trying to get something like that to comply to regulations, then having to swim through a sea of paperwork.

My design is built into a 3D maglite, and basically consists of a laser, a fan, and working LED lights on the front so it's a working flashlight (run by tiny batterys)

Beware with the steel wool, it reflects light everywhere. Also it cools very quickly when air is drawn though it, for obvious reasons. Let me know if you can it work.

I don't think that will be a problem, since it will be enclosed, with only a carb that's perpendicular to the beam.

-edit- that didn't make sense, carb is parallel, flows perpendicular..kinda:thinking:

A heating element encased in ceramic/pyrex aided by a non-mechanical air flow scheme, perhaps? Portability is a consideration.

Steel wool may be a bit of a throwback. Aside from the cataracts caused by back reflection........:o
