Hi-
I'm looking to buy a laser in this power range. I thought I might be able to get a pretty good deal here and didn't want to deal with international shipping (I'm in the US).
So basically what I want:
-650nm
-on spec, lpm reading would be nice
-preferably focusable and with a tailcap button (not like the switch on a pen style)
-If anyone has an eagle pair, I would be interested in buying

oh and I would use paypal
Thanks!

I just submit a post on the BST section but hasn't been approved by an admin yet. It was for four lasers, two of them being reds. Here is a copy/paste from my post, and if your interested I can post some pictures.

#3 - 282mW 660nm LPC-826 in a jet black C6 Host w/ red anodized heatsink
Flexdrive @ 488mA powered by 1x 18650
$55

#4 – 199mW 650nm Single mode diode in Powerlight B50 host
Flexdrive @ 331mA
$75

Shipping based on PayPal Fees plus postage (I reside in the USA)

I actually might be interested in that, but why is The 199mW 75? Cause the first one is 55. Or am I just missing something

The diode is different, it's DTR's single mode 300, and the host is also a B50 as compared to a C6, both of which cost a little more.

Thanks, I figured they were very similar, but didn't know they were the exact same thing. Probably because I was using different retailers.

I hate to tell you, but, DTR's single mode 300mW 650nm diodes ARE the LPC-826.

Unless I'm seeing something wrong...

DTR single mode 300 is a 3.8mm 650nm diode, while the LPC-826 is a 5.6mm 660nm diode. They might perform nearly the same but they do seem to be a different diode.

I hate to tell you, but, DTR's single mode 300mW 650nm diodes ARE the LPC-826.

I just recently bought one of Blords Lasers (which had arrived well ahead of schedule), so I can and definitely will vouch for him. I often tend to send quite a decent number of people his way, since IMO his builds are well worth it. Plus, not just including myself there are innumerable users on here that will say the same, are fairly quick to recommend him, and hold him in pretty high regards. He does very good quality work, has excellent service, and an unheard of reputation, since he takes an enormous amount of pride in his work and will go way above and beyond to do what is necessary while firmly standing behind all of his products. So, I'd say yeah definitely try to hit him up see how long his waiting list is, what it's going to run you, and if he even has the parts available to make it happen. (Since as of late [from what I've been noticing at least, he has been specializing in a lot more high powered creations] unless it's a special order, and he's always seems to be getting a lot of new business rolling in almost daily) Also Blord offers safety goggles, and other options//accessories with each of his orders for a slightly additional costs.

Since like I've really never attempted to get a lower wattage laser from Blord to see how comparable his price options are with//to some of the other sellers on here (I'd prolly just assume it's fairly close or comparability priced depending on parts and considering the craftsmanship), and idk if that is even a factor on your purchase, but yeah I would definitely PM him, talk with him go over specs and see what all he can make happen, get some options, think about it and go from there. Ultimately I think you will be satisfied, and probably end up buying more than just the one in the long run no matter what you end up going with, and have a blast, so long's you follow the laser safety rules, and adhere to the duty cycles and ensure a long life for the diode.

Jokers out of stock at the moment the limited inventory's for his fairly decent quality builds, and pretty nice deals usually sell off pretty quick but he cycles his inventory and wavelength availability pretty often you'll just have to keep you eye on his FS thread if//when you want to wait or check out one of those as well..

No doubt, he's not too bad at getting back to people, there is a time difference obviously, n whatnot, but he usually has quite a bit of em to get through so just be patient and he will try to help you out as much as possible..
