wont light anything

9v batteries can't provide much current to begin with, especially half dead ones like yours. They're simply 6 AAAA alkaline batteries in series, with an internal resistance enough that they can't possibly provide the amperage you need unless they're brand new, and then they'll only provide it for a short while. Try again with lithium batteries or a wall wart or maybe 6 AA batteries in series.
 





yea i figured ill have to get a diff power source but shouldnt the driver still be keeping what current is there steady?
 
If your 9V battery reads 6.8V (not sure if that's what you meant, your post isn't exactly clear), it's nearly dead. The driver can't manufacture energy that isn't there.
 
YES thanks everyone for advice, i made a makeshift 6pack holder for AA's and threw in some good quality AA's and it BURNS even non sharpied white matches :sold: lol sorry if i sound like a newbie but this kicks ass, im gunna build a green next i believe, this should do for my school capstone project hehe
