Won't be on much for a few days

I don't know all the internet slang either, but I do know of something called google of which can search for your answers. Most of us here would not need to ask the question, as we are more than capable of finding out information for ourselves. If I can't find the answer, then I'll ask. :p

I've just reported her also, although it's almost definitely not a female, but it's a good way to get the guys to look at the thread!

We've had quite a few Spammers open Threads with
that same "I am the new girl" title.
Makes them easy to spot.

I sometimes wonder about the HELP ME threads as well. Seems like some of the questions could be answered with a little bit of common sense and intuition. Those "Is this 30W handheld laser legit" type of threads come to mind. Reading the "what company should I buy from" and "what's a good first laser" threads would probably reduce all need for such threads. It's not that I have a problem with people needing help choosing a laser, but sometimes I feel like people expect us to do their homework for them when it's really obvious stuff.

Typical that one has been found already. :p
Across LPF history how many genuine girls has the forum actually had?

Assuming that laserchick was an actual girl, one that I know of. None of the women that I've met in real life seem to have any kind of interest in lasers beyond playing with their cat.

One, maybe two that I know of on here.

PL has had one or two as well, one of them used to reem people out quite frequently. Reminded me of a female Cyp. :p

To be honest I'm not surprised. It would be nice to see some girls who are interested in lasers, but that is such a rarity.
Edit: A female Cyp, now that's what we need. :p

Think there's been a few at some of the US LEMs. I know a couple people's wives have come to UKLEM, but I don't think they had much choice. Jim's wife is there sometimes, but they live down the street from the venue.

Agreed though, would be nice, diversity is good. :)

One Cyp is enough! :p

Thanks Hap

More diversity would be great. Yes, let's stick with one Cyp. :p
As for LEM, I doubt that the choice is there. :D

LaserChick was as we know just a WL re seller and her interest and knowledge in lasers were just knowing enough about them to sell. I came across a ebay seller of multiple items and her MO sure looked like her.
and who could forget "kitten" a young girl who some how came across this forum, found it friendly at the time and logged on just to chat and who just happened to love "kittens" She was never seen as a troll and was friendly and her initial post lasted a few pages of quite friendly refreshing posting:)
Hap, where exactly is your company coming from?
