Ohm's is the unit of electrical resistance (yeah yeah, don't start with picky stuff, lemme explain it easily to VI)

e.g.

1kOhm

1MOhm

1mOhm

and so on..


so

if the resistor is connected in parallel to the power supply but a cable was connected beforehand in parallel with the power supply, then the resistor would act like if it was not connected

(the scenario i tried to create in your head:


'-------------------------
' ' '
PSU ' RESISTOR
' '
'------------'----------- '

)



but now

it is commonly accepted that if the resistance (in regular-sized circuits, not super tiny thingies such as microprocessors that are fabricated at 45nm) value is less than ONE ohm, then the resistance can be considered as just a wire (it is there but it doesn't do anything)




that's why "Resistance is futile" means that the resistor serves no purpose if <1Ohm.

well if you were using OPERA you wouldn't need to, you just press the "+" until you reach the desired zoom :D! (yeah i know you can do that with FF and IE, but OPERA has the best zooming ability and it's faster)
 
Hmm, you just reminded me that my mouse has + and - on it so I can change text size in FF! Now I am unbeatable!
