Alright ive been a member on this forum long enough to know that wicked lasers are crap. but it seems the core laser is somthing everyone likes and it looks okay is it worth buying :-/

by the way heres a site that sells it www.laserpointer.com

i already bought one of these and i think there just crap and im willing to pay a little more for some better qualitly (plus i dont want one thats that power full i just want one for messin around with)

Don't get the non-newwish 50mW. I had one and it was slightly worse than my True DX30mW, which is not crap. It is just not as aesthetically appealing as say a WL Core, but a whole lot more powerful and fun.

If you just want to mess around with it, Just get a 5mW Leadlight from stonetek.org. Expensive but QC probably better than a DX5mW. Your choice really.

I have a WL Core and it is really pretty. Not much power to it but still a pretty neat laser to have, assuming it is putting out 5mW that is. ;)

I like to mod the WL Core as it has a neat case, it's fairly cheap, and I can usually mod with no drilling or disassembly other than removing the button. :) I guess I find the Core more elegant I had 2 of those 50 mW DX lasers and they are much brighter, and only a little longer and fatter, but I think it's all in the application and the beam and case sharpness for some of the wants/ needs!

are 5 mw laser senkat sells any good?

i was also wondering if you could still order from his sight and get the stuff by christmas due to his injury?

hmm how do you get the module out of the core without wrecking the case?

I have pot modded a few lasers, and with a WL Core, I pry the button off. Then I use a ice pic tip to turn the plastic shroud under the button rotating it out of the way. looking thru the button hole, upwards toward the beam exit end, I see the pot screw, carefully turn it clockwise, test by wedging a toothpick sideways between the inside of body and shroud to light up, when beam is bright as wanted, carefully reverse rotate shroud and re apply button (I use the spot of double sided tape that was on the button before). If you are very careful, it looks like you never touched or messed with the inside. Viola! ;) :) :) :)

I was going to get the dx 20mw stainless steel leadlight clone but it is out of stock.
looks just like a leadlight except forthe switch at half the price.
Our favorite friend picrthis ;) measured it at over 20mW

i bought one, but seeing as school was almost over i didnt want to risk it not getting here in time and shipped it to my house. So its there waiting for me, ill be home in a week, and hopefully should have my LPM 1 around the same time, ill let you know how my Core and the stailess steel DX one preforms (theyre both waiting for me at home :D)
