I, too was going to buy from Wicked.  But after seeing the competition, I will be purchasing a X-105 from Nova when they are back in stock instead of an Executive Fusion and making my own DIY red instead of buying a Pulsar.  They're sweet to look at, but the combination of price and quality issues leave me apprehensive.
you can't really bash wicked, they essentially opened the doors to all of us and made laser pointers really more popular and talked about. Guiness world record recognition, a lot of internet buzz, magazines, television, if anyone brought laser into the public eye it would be them.

Ordinarily, I would not chime in on Wicked topics (too late for that, I am sure !) but in this case, I will most definitely jump in !

Their "claim" in the guiness book is totally FALSE.  At the time of print, the Hercules did in fact exist, and is MUCH more powerful than any of the products Wicked offers - so I WILL bash them on that point - they lied to get in the guiness book, and I certainly hope that Laserglow is disputing that fact with them.  I think it would be REALLY nice to see justice served, when they definitly KNEW about Laserglow, and hte Hercules at the time they submitted their false claim to having the most powerfull handheld laser in the market.  Sorry, but cold hard facts outweigh anything else in this case - they purposefully lied, knowing the guiness book of world records would put them even closer, if not over the top to the number one position in the industry for sales.  So, if there is a category for hte most despicable business practices, I say hand the prize to Wicked for their outright lies about their claim to fame.  Sorry about the rant  !
I was wondering about that too, but surely it's guinesses responsibility to check these claims? As I see it if thats the case then they profited from an error on guinesses part, while its not very ethical I can't condone them for doing it but they got away with it and its been great for their business and I would rather deal with a company that exagerates certain qualities than one that sends out underpowered units on purpose.

I am not a WL fan boy but i do like the companies products and service I have received. I have had to rma a couple of times now but their service has been good but one feels that if they did what the likes of LO and Nova to name a few and checked each laser before being sent out they would save themselves alot of bother.

I will continue to deal with each Laser company that fits my needs, for wicked it was the Spyder for LO the Envee, if I get another green it might be the Exec as I have some wicked bucks or I really like the Nova X series.

All companies have their horror stories but I wont slag one off I have not used, I will just use my judgment and decide to buy from them or not, and let ppl know of my experience good or bad with the facts so they can make their own mind up.
