Why such a high price for only medium output?

Nope, that's different from the rest. I emailed the seller, maybe we both have now.

The 2 notches look different, and the can looks to be of higher quality, maybe it has better divergence? If it had really good divergence that would be great, but I will have to see it to believe it.

They didn't give me much of an answer, just that the reason it is so high priced is because it costs very much. I responded asking for a part number so I can find more information, no response yet

I just asked for the data sheet and told them I needed to know the divergence, that way if they have the data sheet but don't want to post it they can just tell me the perpendicular and parallel numbers.

Will update when/if I get an answer.

interesting,i saw this listing awhile back but i didn't thought it could be something better.the window hole looks identical to the n450 diode so it could be the same

3.5W is considered "medium" power now? I remember when 500mW was considered a shit ton of power.

Well, so many blue diodes can produce more now, when pushed hard. Take for example the NUBM44 at over 7 watts into the lens.

I know, its just crazy how far lasers have come in the past 5-10 years. Some people used to think a 1W handheld would be impossible due to thermals.

Too bad we don't have 1 watt single mode diodes, unless 405 nm...
its a shame that projectors don't need nice divergence :( we luck the applications that need nice beam profiles like disk reading-burning

Why those N-type diodes have such big window?
Older diodes have smaller window in comparison.

I have not received an answer yet, why would they pay a high price if they didn't expect something worth that high price to resell?

I'm thinking either it's a re-canned 05/06 or it's a factory window can version of the 05/06......but I hope it's something special made for the small lasershow market, and that it has better divergence, but that wide window suggests everything other than low divergence.

I hope I'm wrong.
