Hi all, I am looking into the 445 nm O-Like lasers and i have a few questions. First off has anyone bought either one of their 445 nm lasers and if so was it of good quality and worth getting? Second i noticed that they have two 445 nm lasers on their site and the only difference i can see it one has a 900 mw output vs the other that only has a 700 mw output and the one that has the 900 mw output is about $20 more. Am i missing something here or is that it? Any help, reviews, warnings, or general input is appreciated. Thanks in advance! BTW great forum guys! Keep up the good work! :thanks:

Yea i saw that but its the 700mw one. And my main question is what is the differences between the two. Is it just the mw or is there something more that im missing. It seems that for about 20$ more 200 extra mw is worth it.

I believe the lasers are identical in all respects. The current to the driver is just turned down so that it outputs less. Besides saving you $20 dollars it will also give you a longer diode life. ( I can't say just how much.)

AFAIK the diode is rated 1W so, no longer lifespan should be noticiable in 900 to 700mW difference IMO.

Ah, I would go for the 1W version, but frankly if I was you I would buy a 445 rated at more than 1W from someone here on the forum. Survival lasers also is selling "kits" for there 1.1-1.2W 445 for $150 to members.. no soldering involved I believe, you just put the pieces together following a picture tutorial for 2 minutes and your done :D
Or get this one with a copper heatsink for $180

Or this one @ 1.6W

Yes, that is exactly what i was thinking. It seems like it would be the best deal but for some reason im hesitant to drop 200 on a laser. :undecided:

Yea those lasers are super nice. The later of the two is to expensive for my budget but the first looks pretty sick. Thanks for the links!
