Which Laser Should I get?

I've read the FAQ and the guides on this website but I don't really understand them that much. I want a Laser that isn't too big but it like a large "pen" size. I want the laser to be able to burn paper and light matches. I don't want to spend too much because I just want something to mess around with. What do you guys recommend?

445nm tends to be the cheapest wavelength. I think 1W would be sufficient to ignite paper

Suggestion: You say: " I've read the FAQ and the guides on this website but I don't really understand them that much " --read them again and again and other posts as well until you put together some beginning understanding of what you are reading.

Get one of the $5-$10 "laser 301 or 303" on eBay as a first laser to fool around with.

You will need to study up on laser laser safety as well---good laser glasses/goggles are a must for any laser over 5mW in output power.
