Where could you get a dichro for combining 2 650nm beams. One for combining 2 405nm beams. And if there is such thing. One for combining one 405nm beam with one 532nm beam. And what would you use to combine RGB to get white?

I have one for rgb > WHITE or Vice versa on ebay right now It's a little large, but it will do. Same user name. Item number: 290243954501 :P

Nice. I would buy it if it was smaller. Thats too big for what I'm doing. You are the guy that sold those 594nm KTP crystals on ebay a wile back? Can you tell me how many watts of IR can be pumped into them. Without saturating the crystal.

Re: Where to find a dichro for combining all color

These crystals needed the vanadate, so they were sold at fire sale prices. The vanadate for 594nm is expensive and hard to find. :'(

I thought they only needed yvo4.

lens coating: standard optical

so its got no coating making it work for certain wavelengths, but it wont perform as good as a specific wavelength one (more loss)

Aren't there small dichro's in the 803T sleds. I'm pretty sure that the small glass cubes in those sleds are dichro's. I have a whole bunch of them. phoenix77/rob 8-) You can also try EDMUND SCIENTIFIC, & I also found a bunch in the SURPLUS SHED, under 'BEAMSPLITTERS'

i *just* wrote a bit about how to do that here:

combining two identical colors and then combining different colors will be different, the first with polarising combining, the latter with dichroic combining.

the cube heruursciences posted/sold is exactly the thing i wrote about too, as far as i can see. it works great for combining colors, indeed!

Yes- otherwise known as yttrium vanadate.

Y=yttrium VO4=vanadate ion

I think YVO[sub]4[/sub] , or yttrium orthovanadate needs to be doped with neodymium to form a crystaline structure of Nd:YVO[sub]4[/sub].Then , I don't know, I think it requires a special coating for whatever wavelenght you want to make the most of.
