You could try a camera shop.

I don't know what "local" means for you. Search 10440 in Google. See if one of the battery houses is close enough to you.

Peace,
dave

i just mean a well known big store that has them.

but i am in houston tx

i have also tried searching with the 10440 number and my location and it doesnt find anything.

is there any alternatives to the 10440?

I don't know of an alternative.

Even with Express Mail, I cannot get them to you before the middle of the day on Saturday (plus the postage is over $18)

Let's hope someone in TX has some.

Peace,
dave

thanks dave for the effort.

i may just mod a little battery holder to fit 3 cr123a's inside my pocket pal type host :)

i'll keep this thread updated if i make it work

Lighthound in Pearland, TX

these say unprotected

I believe that they are all unprotected. There doesn't seem to be enough room in a 10440 for the protection circuit.

Peace,
dave

Yesterday I was in a bit of a rush to get up from the computer, so forgot to tell you how I found that store:
I did a Google search for the words "battery" and "Houston". Then I just looked at the sites that didn't sound like they were automotive battery stores.
I stopped looking when I found Lighthound, but there probably are more, as there were thousands of Google hits.

sweet thanks! he is actually a member and well known guy on candle power forums so i got a little discount with the code CPF

:)

batteries should be here tomorrow
