Where do you buy your battries? Australia.

My 50mw laser holds 2 AAA battries BUT I want one 3.7volt or higher and also need a dummy battery, in Australia you can't send battries through airmail. So I was wonder what stores stock these? Or how you got yours?

Here in the US the Li-Ion batteries we use aren't sold in stores, there isn't enough demand, I have searched and never found them in any store. You have to buy them online. We have the same problem here, USPS doesn't allow them so they get shipped FedEx. There must be some way they can be mailed to you and hopefully someplace close so you don't have to wait a month for them. There are many Australian members here, hopefully one of them will reply with a good place for you to get your batteries.

Some I have bought from china but not Ultrafires or Trustfires etc. (They are potentially dangerous) There are some sky blue ones that are a Japanese battery there that are pretty good. Also on ebay is a seller called supersports600 They sell top quality panasonic 18650 and are in Sydney, takes about a week to get to rural SA. The ones from China take about 3 - 4 weeks. I only use the quality Panasonics in the higher power lasers as their current draw is so high. Here is one that you are looking for from another Aussie supplier.

I'm confused that one you linked says he sends through aus post whic you can't do obviously...
And DX they say they ship over Australia so I'm guess they must use another company? cos I found a spacer there and would like too buy . Would email them if they had one :thinking:

Well it's up to you but they do ship Aust post just goes overnight by road. Take 2 days to get to Melb. But go dx if you want. They take hmmm been waiting 4weeks for my last order from them. Maybe tomorrow!

Busman is right on the money, the ebay seller supersports600 is based in australia and stocks quality Li-ion cells.

If you wanna wait for chinese shipping you can order batteries from Fasttech.
They provide free shipping and my last order from them contained Li-ion's and it arrived without issues.

Using a 3.7 volt battery in a laser rated for two AAAs (so, 3 volts or under) might not be a great idea.

Yes it fits 2 AAA, the module runs from 3.7-4.2v so I was gonna get one 3.7volt AAA then get a spacer that just pass the current through. Other wise it's was to hard to get in between that range I will end up going over and destroying it. I think it's probly the safest way to do so.

No 14500 is the same as an AA, you need 10440 batteries. I got mine from Amazon.
Check the seller listed above as being in AU.

Sorry I gave you a link for AA Size 3.7V batteries. If you want to replace 2 x AAA with a 3.7V single battery you need the spacer and a 10440 battery.

It's hard with everything being ultrafire or trust fire or something and I refuse to buy from them. :/

Both batteries, while not great, will be fine in low current applications.
